★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Highly recommend this place! My husband and I go to a lot of omakase spots in the city, and many of them tend to have very similar menus, products, and ambiance. Often, they’re also quite loud, trying to match the busy New York energy. But this place truly stands out. First the music is not to loud and the place is peaceful. The selection is innovative, with creative explorations in texture and flavor. Chef DC has over 20 years of experience, and it really shows. he walked us through each creation with so much passion. We were lucky enough to have the restaurant all to ourselves (5pm reservation on a Thursday) for our anniversary, and both Marie, the floor manager, and Chef DC made the evening incredibly special. We’ll definitely be coming back!
August 21 · Aura ChuThe ingredients used here are on the more affordable side, but the overall taste is refreshing and not greasy. The restaurant’s interior is fairly simple and nothing particularly special. However, the restroom was a bit messy, which took away from the overall experience.
July 23 · CMe and my girlfriend came here yesterday (August 1st) for the happy hour deal! And WOW! Amazing value! Service was 10/10 and the staff were extremely friendly and conversed with us. The omakase experience was super awesome. The ingredients felt super premium (I’ve also been to some Michelin starred omakases mind you) and above most of all, they had SUPER creative courses (you can look through my photos). I really felt the chef’s love for food science and it felt like a perfect harmony of fusion flavors. The portions were GENEROUS (look at how much Chutoro we got!). I’m happy to say that this place is a 10/10 (I’ve only rated one other restaurant a 10 so far 😉)Also the matcha dessert was DELICIOUS! I would 110% come back here again
August 02 · Jason LuNY born and raised. Currently live in the LES. Made it a mission to hit all of the omakase joints in the area, and can confidently call this my favorite. It’s more on the intimate side as far as ambience is concerned which the service complements perfectly—they are so attentive, polite, gentle, and friendly.Aside from impeccable service and a beautiful spot, the chefs hold it down! Best food there is I believe. The highest quality from Japan that other places will charge $500+. You can just go to no name for a better experience and food just as good if not better, and it will be a fair price. We paid $120ish for a premium 17 course…can’t really beat the value you’re getting.Best bang for your buck omakase and check off all the boxes all around. Highly recommend!*have been here 2 times with my lovely girlfriend, and this review is due to Sushi by No Name truly going above and beyond, and nothing else*
May 30 · Danny HehirHad the 17 course omakase with my wife, honestly only a few pieces stood out. We just weren’t wowed, pieces were lacking flavor, after paying 350+ for two I would really want the sushi to be better.
