What is worth choosing
Raise the Roost is a fantastic choice for anyone in New York seeking a straightforward, delicious, and convenient meal. What makes it particularly worth choosing is its ability to deliver high-quality comfort food in a fast-paced urban environment. While some public reviews may express concern about the nature of the food being kept in a "hot window," a savvy customer points out that this is a standard practice for fried chicken and that the quality of the chicken itself is what matters. This is where Raise the Roost truly shines. One reviewer went so far as to say they prefer the chicken tenders here over those from well-known chains like Popeyes, which is high praise in the competitive world of fried chicken. The portion sizes are also a significant draw, with customers noting the "alot of food and the chicken is big." This value for money, combined with the delicious taste, makes it a highly appealing option. Beyond the food, the service is a major highlight. Reviewers consistently mention the "wonderfully friendly staff," which transforms a simple quick-service meal into a genuinely pleasant experience. The convenience of the location, including the rare offering of on-site parking, is a huge plus. The fact that it is situated within a 7-Eleven also adds a layer of practicality, allowing customers to handle multiple errands at once. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick breakfast on the way to work, a satisfying lunch, or a late dinner, the versatile menu and service options cater to all needs. In essence, Raise the Roost is a reliable, no-nonsense establishment that focuses on what it does best: providing great-tasting, generously portioned fried chicken and other comfort foods with a friendly smile. For those who appreciate quality, convenience, and a straightforward approach to dining, Raise the Roost is a local gem that is definitely worth a try.

June 11 · Christian MattosWonderfully friendly staff. If you love chicken wings you have to try this place. They have a menu where you can order or they have the ones that are already packaged. It’s inside the 7-11 so you can purchase other things at the same time. I highly recommend this place!
March 19 · Marion NYCRaise the roost is disgusting, stale, dry, old. The clerk had an attitude and messed the entire order up while slamming things. 7-11 cashier had no idea how to use register. Manager came over..and instead of training the lady told her "what are you doing .. just don't mess up"Where is corporate helping these people learn how to do basic store operations, they clearly don't have a clue.Avoid the chicken place!Wish I could get the 25.00 back for the food that seems like it will have us sickThis is in regards to store #40289
September 30 · John Tarro JrI ordered from this place, the food never came & their phone number is disconnected. Thank goodness Seamless/GrubHub refunded the order & I've reported the location as likely not existing.
March 06 · Alisha OutridgeA fresher hot food option within 7-Eleven seems like a welcomed idea, and of course who doesn’t love fried chicken? Unfortunately this stuff just isn’t good in any way. Taste? Texture? Juicy? Temperature? Price? This fails all around. Added bonus is that it makes the small but quite nice 7-Eleven it is within smell like burnt cooking oil.
