In a city as diverse as New York, it's a true delight to stumble upon a restaurant that offers a unique and delicious blend of cultures. SAPERAVI, located in the bustling East Village, is just such a place. While it is renowned as a Georgian restaurant and wine bar, it has also carved out a niche for itself as a go-to spot for an incredible American staple: the hamburger. The atmosphere at SAPERAVI is a perfect mix of cozy and trendy, making it a comfortable and welcoming spot for everyone from solo diners to large groups. SAPERAVI's menu also includes other American favorites like a classic Cheeseburger and a Fried Chicken Burger, all of which are crafted with the same care and attention to detail as their Georgian counterparts. This dual focus on both traditional Georgian fare and beloved American comfort food, along with a great selection of organic, vegan, and vegetarian options, makes SAPERAVI a destination for a wide range of tastes and dietary needs.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I just left this Georgian restaurant and wow — what an amazing experience! The food was beyond delicious. Every bite tasted homemade and full of flavor. You can really feel the tradition and care behind every dish. The service was just as great. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, they made me feel right at home. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the people are this good. The atmosphere was cozy and really charming. I had such a nice time and can’t wait to go back. If you’ve never tried Georgian food before, this is the perfect place to start!
July 22 · rusudan kharadzeNYC is heaven for Burgers 🍔 lovers, smash and not smash. 💥 To find a really good burger 🍔 in a Georgian restaurant is another treat you can find only in NYC. I took The Georgian-AmericanBurger2 4oz Ground Beef Patties, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Cheese, Pickles, and Secret Sauce. Full of flavor, juicy, the burger was delicious and the cheese 🧀 made it a perfect bite. I didn’t try anything from the Georgian food, that I believe is excellent as well. Welcoming and friendly staff.
August 07 · Amos NachumSaperavi is an absolute gem. This small, intimate spot has a charm that makes you feel like you’ve been invited into someone’s home rather than just another restaurant. The food is pure comfort. Everything is seasoned to perfection and deeply flavorful. The first time wasn’t a fluke…. We have been 3 times now, bringing back with us family and friends to share our love.Mari and Serge are masters of hospitality, the kind of people who make you feel genuinely welcomed and remembered. They take the time to explain the menu, share stories, and ensure every detail of your visit feels personal. Mari made recommendations every visit that made my heart smile as I took my first bites. If you’re a cheese lover, you must try the traditional Georgian cheese. Get the adjaruli! It is unlike anything else with warm bread bowl filled with rich and buttery cheesy goodness. It alone is worth the visit.A warm, memorable experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.
