What truly makes Soso's a choice worth making in a city full of dining options is its consistent delivery of a high-quality, memorable experience. The provided reviews and information highlight that the restaurant, even in its early days, was a delightful surprise for a New Yorker who has "grown up" in the city's dining scene. The combination of its excellent, high-end food and its surprisingly generous portions, as one customer noted, makes it a great value. The food is not only delicious but also complex, with "combinations of flavors and textures" that rival more expensive establishments. For instance, a reviewer raved about the cabbage, and another insisted that the escargot is a "must try," indicating a menu full of standout dishes. This is a testament to the kitchen, helmed by Executive Chef Paul Donnelly and Head Chef Luka Coyne, which focuses on elevated European-leaning fare. The drink menu is equally impressive. A customer noted the "very large and interestingly built drink menu," which includes not only cocktails but also a vast spirits selection and an international wine list. This is a significant draw, especially for a trendy spot in this area, solidifying its identity as a serious "liquor restaurant." Finally, the warm and friendly service is what truly seals the deal. The staff's attentiveness and welcoming nature make patrons feel at home and contribute to the "vibey and fun" atmosphere. For a city that can sometimes feel impersonal, finding a spot that offers such a cozy and attentive experience is a treasure. Soso's is a place where you get more than just a meal; you get a complete and enjoyable experience that is well worth the price.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I went to SoSo’s for the first time the week it first opened and was very positively surprised by how good it was, from food to service. I have gone back 3 times since and it keeps on amazing me. I highly recommend this restaurant: the food is really good, portions are large, the combination of flavors and textures pretty high end, and very well priced for what you get (not a value restaurant but compared to other places in the area you get more for what you pay!). Very large and interestingly built drink menu. One of my faves!Get the cabbage!!
August 20 · Carlos Soares MoreiraSuch a vibey and fun spot for New York! Feels cozy and the staff is truly friendly and attentive. The food is pretty nice! Cocktails were yummy too. Would say it’s slightly on the pricier side but still would definitely come back for more!Must try the escargot btw
June 14 · Rebecca SorkinTHRILLED that the Tuxedo Hospitality team added this dining room to my favorite bar. Still THE BEST martinis 🍸 in NYC. I’ve dined three times since they’ve opened. One of my go-to spots in SoHo.Must haves: Hamachi Crudo, Crab Royale, Tuna Tartare, Cabbage, any steak, and Guinness Sundae
June 10 · Kelly LandriganVery nice bar, the vibe was calm and pleasant. The pictures on the walls really gave it a different atmosphere and I felt like I was part of something bigger when I was here.Air-con was a bit too cold but not enough to lose a star. Thanks guys!
June 15 · Aron Nelwhat a great early dinner at soso’s! we were in the dining room, not the cocktail bar. the dining room has the same, colorful flair and all of the seating is booths so it’s very cosy. the soso’s cocktail menu is comprised of classics with popular variations listed, and you can freestyle a bit—a spicy passionfruit mezcal margarita hit the spot! the tuna tartare was special…i’d order this again and again. we also had the duck á l’orange, which was excellently non-traditional and perfectly prepared. and the steelhead trout (not rainbow)…the fish itself was impeccable, my only beef was with the sauce it’s served on which is described on the menu as a parsley sauce but is heavy on the dill, which i happen to have a real aversion to. if you like dill you’ll love that dish but i would not order it again. but the fries…THE FRIES! scrumptious.our server, kiefer was a delight and very helpfully guided our choices. we’ll definitely be back!
