★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had the 13-course omakase at Sushi Kai’s West Village location and loved every bite! Each piece was so fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and the pacing made the whole experience feel special. The vibe is cozy and intimate, perfect for a date night or a solo treat. If you’re looking for high-quality sushi with great ambiance, this spot is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back!
June 16 · Bella LuThis was my first time trying an omakase style meal, and it lived up to my expectations . The chef was considerate of my dietary restrictions and made the whole experience a pleasant one. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who's tried omakase before or are thinking of trying it.
July 12 · fabian dorisSushi is all about freshness.I would have preferred if not that much seasoning put on the sushi.$85 omakase is a fair price, though.Like others commented, and agreed by us, that chef prepared sushi like a robot, lacking of interaction with customers.Water was replenished promptly enough.
June 22 · Jerry WuThe food was good and it’s great that they allow BYOB. But what upset me was that my friend wanted green tea after her meal and they couldn’t provide it. There were still 15 minutes until the next seating, and a simple green tea could’ve been accommodated. My favorite omakase in UES provides unlimited complimentary tea throughout the meal, and here they couldn’t even sell her one. I guess the tea wouldn’t have added much to the server’s tip. It was disappointing, and they need to improve.
August 25 · Lily MyYoshi was the best! I sat with my friends for a birthday dinner tonight and it was the most flavorful omakase. They even treated us to strawberry mochi for dessert. Highly recommend and will be back. The sea bass was incredible :)
