★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My friends and I were looking for a quick snack, and Tori Bien caught my eye as I love Japanese fried chicken and onigiri. This cozy little spot is perfect for a quick bite, and the fried chicken is definitely a standout.I ordered the onigiri bento, which came with 2 onigiris, 2 pieces of karaage, and some sides for $18.45. The price is a little steep, but the food came out quickly and was convenient in terms of packaging. There is a small counter and some benches outside.I picked the mentaiko and pork & egg onigiris. They were okay. The rice was a little mushier than I would've liked, and the fillings weren't that flavorful. The sides were pretty good, especially the salad. However, the fried chicken was absolutely delicious; crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.Overall, I think Tori Bien is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a quick bite.
April 14 · Shelley FSuper cute hole in the wall place!! I loved the onigiri and the Kara-age sandwich was also really good. There’s not seating inside, but there’s a nice little spot to sit just outside the restaurant with benches and everything. The food came super fast and was made to order which was nice for a quick place like this. Overall a super positive experience and I would definitely go back with friends!
August 09 · Peter SchoenfeldSadly, Tori Bien closed on 10/29. The building was sold. The takeout place closed and will be looking for a new location.Great little Japanese fried chicken takeout place. Good portions and tasty. We tried the karage bento with rice, potato salad and the onigiri bento. The fried chicken was delicious, juicy and perfectly fried in both. The onigiri bento cones with karage, potato salad, edamame and tomago. You have choice of the onigiri - I chose salmon and roast pork. Both delish. If you want more karage, get the karage bento. If you want more variety, get the onigiri bento.Easy ordering and pickup, although the counterman is a bit stern. You can also get delivery.
December 22 · SDThe takoyaki was okay. The outside was crispy but the inner parts was little too undercooked for my liking(better than overcooked tho!) one small octopus slice - maybe that’s how NYCs takoyakis roll? But the overall taste represents the real deal, and hence why I will come again. There are no seats in his location, only a bench outside the store. The onigiri was okay too. The inside parts didn’t burst with flavour as they should…a little mild for my liking. But if you are around, and wanting a quick snack, it’s not a bad place to swing in and out!
April 20 · Young BaeA small store, ideal for roadside snackers. I tried their Tuna Mayo and Plum Onigiri. The tuna was nice and classic, but it was my first time trying the plum, and I wasn't expecting it to be salty at all, definitely check it out if you want to try something new!
