★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Bakery, coffee shop, restaurant combined into the most lovely Italian spot. A few outdoor bistro chairs and plenty of seating inside at the cafe and bar. Perfect for a catch up with friends, reading, or a casual lunch. They have a small upscale Italian market with fresh pasta and sauces too. Burrata sandwich with mortadella and pistachios on focaccia was excellent.
June 19 · Maria YuMaritozzo Con Panna. Have you savored one? No? Then run swiftly to Travelers Poets & Friends on Sixth Avenue to snag one during the breakfast hours. This is a sweet brioche bun cut open and filled with a sweet whipped cream. Simple and luscious. Perfect with a cappuccino. Last week, one was kept for me and i ate it with hot Earl Grey Tea. The Maritozzi are found in bars and patisseries in Rome and are from the Lazio region. I used to have these at Lodi restaurant midtown but when they enlarged their restaurant and took out the bakery gone were these maritozzi. I cried. TPF is a lovely restaurant café where one can sit at the bar or get a table and enjoy these cream buns every morning. Ana, Carmine and Michela work here and were kind to keep one for me. Grazie Molto!
March 21 · Sabena SinghI went to a pasta making class yesterday and it was absolutely amazing. Not your typical cooking class. We made our on pasta guided by the chef, learned how to make different shapes, and then were treated with a FEAST. Abundant food with entries, main courses, and over 8 different flavors of gelato (as only Italians know how to do). We all sat the same table and enjoyed great food and wine with strangers that became friends by the end of the night.
April 16 · Maria Camila JaramilloI am a construction union worker. I came here bc the 14th street PATH station shut down, and there is no service. I saw bread on the widown and came to ask if there was any bread there. A short man with a mustache, much smaller than I came to tell me that they had, "no bread for me", and I politely asked why do they display bread that they don't have or sell. He told me that it was all ready all sold. If I wanted 3 day old display bread that I could take it. He had a mustache, short, maybe 5'3" , skinny with hair (brown) as long to his chin/neck, white, with a strong European accent. The waiter said sit down whwrever you'd like to, she had a strong Colombian accent down. I did that. I ordered a glass white Sauvignon Blanc, and another manager with blonde hair and blonde mustache told me that they had a policy that they didn't have to show me at all to serve. I'm a Union worker. I pay my bills. I don't ask anyone for anything at all. I eat, I drink and mind my business. I've never had to deal with this type of discrimination as a union, Hispanic, and paying worker at all. Ever. I wouldn't recommend this place to you. I did nothing. I just wanted to eat and pay for services. How dare these people are allowed to function, and do business..I wouldnt deny anyone that here in America, and possibly that happens in Europe, Italy, not here. Remember when you read this that you told me that I could call my attorney and that you didn't need to show me your policy. You treated me less than mediocre, a less than second citizen. Remember that.
June 03 · kai maitaiWe went for lunch. The place is really nice and it's location is very convenient. It is a good option if you are looking for some Italian food.I had the "Bolognese Lasaña" and it was good. I am a big fan of Lasaña so I order it when I have the chance. It is hard for me to find a good one.Everyone liked their food and we had a good time. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
