★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great sushi! This is one of my go to take out sushi places on the upper east side. Their poke bowl happens to be really good and a great value and their rolls and sushi are also excellent. The fish is fresh and the service is great too. Would highly recommend for dine in or take out
July 18 · Adam SpiegelIf you're in the Upper East Side and craving sushi, Ume Sushi is a must-visit. This cozy spot serves up an impressive variety of fresh sushi, sashimi, mouthwatering appetizers and many more .Their lunch specials are a steal – perfect for a midday sushi fix. Don’t miss the bento boxes (they’re amazing), the tuna avocado salad and yellowtail sashimi are seriously delicious.Friendly service, affordable prices, and consistently fresh food make this one of the great sushi spots in the UES.
May 23 · Cheryl PinkCouldn’t say better things about this place. Everything we had was amazing. Miso soup, amazing. Sushi, Sashimi, & Rolls, delicious. Ginger, soy sauce, spicy mayo, great. Dessert (tempura ice cream), insane. Water, service, & ambiance, incredible. Will be returning, very solid local sushi spot.
April 12 · Juan ConchaThis is the worst dine-in sushi I've had in the neighborhood. The price doesn't match up with the quality. The fish ranged from mediocre to awful. Some pieces just did not seem fresh, some were weird cuts, and some were oddly dry. Some pieces were barely thawed, and some were way too room temperature. Many of them you could just tell were lower quality from the color, especially the tuna. The last piece I ate was so off that it made me stop eating the rest of plate of sushi. It left a bad taste in my mouth for an hour.I can't believe how many positive reviews are here. You know it's never a good sign when the sushi place also has Pad Thai on the menu.
February 28 · JamesUme was incredible! Came with 6 people for dinner and we ordered several different appetizers and rolls and were so impressed. This will definitely be my new neighborhood sushi spot for both dine in and take out. Some highlights: tuna pizza, crispy rice, ocean roll, ume roll, godzilla roll, spicy scallop roll, and spicy salmon roll. Currently BYOB too!
