July 31 · Ron ReedGreat kosher steakhouse in the busy midtown location. The food is excellent, but if I had to pick between this and Barnea/Reserve/Wall St grill, the others would win. The location here is most convenient. We spent about $230/head, got tons of apps and drinks. Just felt a little steep.For the black Angus ribeyes, I asked for it medium rare, but we also told them we wanted a charred exterior - so they came medium well. Not a big deal, but the waiter assured me when we were ordering that "it wasn't one of those kosher steakhouses that overcooks steak" - he should have been more focused on the end product.I think a fried chicken appetizer (tossed in sauce) would go a long way here. Meatballs were really good, meat was tender and sauce was spiced well. The pizzas were interesting, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend. Egg rolls were great. Onion rings were fantastic, large and breading stayed on.We got a bunch of old fashioned drinks - while they were mixed well, the ice cubes were too small, and there was a ton of melting going on. Consider investing in larger ice cubes.Lamb chops were fantastic, but expensive.
