## What is worth choosing
Choosing Xin Hi is about more than just finding a place to eat; it's about opting for a dining experience that offers great variety, value, and convenience. The all-you-can-eat buffet is the core of its appeal, providing an opportunity to try a little bit of everything, from savory Chinese classics to fresh sushi and everything in between. This format is perfect for adventurous eaters or groups with diverse preferences, as there's always something to satisfy everyone.
Despite some customer reviews mentioning that the food can be inconsistent in temperature, particularly on the buffet line, the sheer volume of options means you’re likely to find many dishes that are fresh and hot. The buffet often features popular items like salmon, seafood bakes, and dumplings that are well-received, especially when they are newly prepared. The staff also makes an effort to celebrate special occasions, as evidenced by a customer who received complimentary cake and ice cream for their son's birthday, a small touch that can make a big difference in the overall experience.
The value for money is a major draw for many patrons. An all-you-can-eat format at a reasonable price, particularly in a city like New York, is a significant advantage. It allows you to dine without worrying about portion sizes or the cost of ordering multiple dishes. The restaurant is particularly popular for lunch and dinner and is a great option for solo dining as well. Its casual and comfortable atmosphere makes it a stress-free environment to enjoy a good meal. Furthermore, the extensive accessibility features, free parking, and acceptance of reservations make planning a visit incredibly easy. For those in the Bronx seeking a straightforward, good-value, and flexible dining spot, Xin Hi remains a solid choice. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Bad. I don't usually leave negative reviews without explaining why fully, but there's not much I can say but bad. Good location, and there are admittedly some things that were decent (the seafood bake and the salmon are okay, dumplings were pretty good but only when eaten hot), but some of the food I had was ice cold. The lighting isn't great even sitting near a window, there was an odd smell in our area, and the service itself seemed apathetic at best. I think for the same price we paid (80 dollars for my family), there are better options for a buffet. No thank you.
July 31 · i am sadI took my son for his 19th birthday instead of sitting with a make the food. We opted to sit in the back where just a waiter came take a order. I've came here several times before and the food was really good but this time it was okay we didn't get. They gave us a little bit of food and the food was kind of warm. It wasn't wasn't cold but it wasn't hot. One good thing is that they gave my son cake and ice cream for his birthday for free. His food was good. He had orange chicken and fried rice. At least he enjoyed his food.
August 10 · J MDecided to come here for Easter brunch to try it out. The food was very fresh and not overcooked. The big sellers for my family were the king crab legs, lobster, and stuffed clams. The dessert section was limited but had plenty of fruit. Our server was attentive and kept our table clear and cups filled without having to ask. Overall, great service. The family gave it 4 stars but I thought this place was a great find. Will be coming back again.
April 23 · Nahum ChiuDecided to take a little lunch trip here, and I must say, it was the worst meal I ever had. For starters, the food was cold and the rice was hard. There was hair on the white rice, and every single dish I tried was lukewarm or just cold. The place had low ventilation and it a musty smell to it. 1 and a half plates later, and even the ice cream tasted like cardboard. cheap! I paid $50 for my son and I. It was lunch too, so it was supposed to be less expensive. I should have just stayed home and made them sandwiches instead.
July 23 · veronica LopezI really don't understand the low rating. This is close to Bay Plaza Mall, a bit of a walk but it's well worth it. We went on a weekend and they serve lobster to you on the table. Lots of seafood choices, beef spare ribs which could be pricey if you order in other restaurants. You can also do take out and they will weigh and reasonably charged as well.Staff are also very nice!
