★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The meat is delicious and the cut is good, especially the beef tongue. The sauce is a great pair with the meat. Our server (Ahmed) is extremely helpful and friendly, he helped us with the cook. I definitely recommend coming to this place.
August 26 · Skye ChenInteresting experience. From the outside, Yakiniku Gen looks like a Japanese yakiniku restaurant, but the menu leans heavily Korean—kimchi, cold noodlesWe ordered beef tongue ($30 for 4 slices) and a small meat platter (~$90), both decent in flavor. But for the price, it felt hard to justify—especially with such plain interior decor.Service was okay, but overall the value just wasn’t there. Not somewhere I’d revisit.
June 24 · MaydonshootsThis is as authentic Japanese BBQ as you can get outside of Japan! The cleanliness, extremely appreciative and friendly service takes me back to tokyo, which i miss. All the food is FANTASTIC, possibly the best beef tongue I've ever had. Come now, before word gets out and you have to wait a month!! Seriously.
August 05 · Jamie StewartBeen here a few times — the meat is always top quality and super tasty, with lots of options. There’s some natural light inside, but the vibe could be better. The potato salad is amazing — it’s my go-to every time! A little expensive but worth the money.
May 18 · R LWe had such a wonderful experience at Yakiniku Gen! From the moment we arrived, Stacy, Fahim, and Fardin made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Their service was attentive, kind, and genuine — they went above and beyond to make sure our table had everything we needed. The food , our favorite the chuck rib, potato salad, a cabbage salad was absolutely delicious, annd of course many other meat cuts and well including the waygu, the atmosphere was perfect for enjoying an authentic Japanese meal. Thank you for making our visit so special — we’ll definitely be back! Make sure to tell the kitchen crew how fantastic it was on the way out!
