★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had high expectations, and I hadnt had Chinese lamb skewers for more than half a year, and I was worried it would fail my expectations. The smell from the cart was great, the smell of the skewers when we got then was very legit, and one bite into them and I was in food heaven!I have a soft spot for lamb skewers, I love the seasoning (slightly spicy). Ordered 8 lamb, 2 chicken and 2 pork for 2 people. Ended up only eating 3 lamb 1 pork and 1 chicken, they're quite big (American size I guess). They werent identical to the ones I've eaten before, I ate it most in South Korea, but they're so delicious in their own way.$1.75 per skewer for most of the meat types, I attached a photo of the new price list since it seems the price went up a bit. Still totally worth it, and I think they deserve the raise, given he hard work it is to grill meats all night long.I'd only add that the pork one is very fatty, so abstain in you have high cholesterol or trying to watch your weight. Cant wait to try some other meats next time!
May 12 · Cecilia ChungSmall simple street cart - selling a small variety of soft drinks and a pretty decent amount of skewers. We ordered the beef, chicken, lamb and Chinese chives. All were good. Our favorites were the chicken and Chinese chives (which were wrapped in bacon). For inexpensive, quick and flavorful street food this is a must place to go. Not the cleanest part of the neighborhood. I didn’t choose to go here for the ambiance, just the value and food. I recommend this spot.
October 10 · Felix GSome actual Chinese BBQ in Manhattan!I got two chicken, two lamb and one mushroom. I like the chicken and the mushroom but was not a fan of the lamb - not very fresh so it got that special taste of lamb, which I don’t enjoy. The way they cook is traditional. The seasoning they used was right. The food was a little burned on the outside but they cut those parts off before handing the food over(wrapped in alumni foil if you ordered a bunch). Price is cheap, and no seat.Overall a nice surprise.
February 08 · Tian GThe best Chinese bbq in Manhattan! Sm better than any bbq skewers I’ve had at any restaurants. The cumin is just right and if u can handle spice definitely ask them to add it!!! My favorites are the beef tendon, chicken, and king oyster mushrooms.
July 01 · Grace ZongGreat food cart, great barbecue skewers. Cash only. $2.50 for a skewer is a steal.Tasty seasoning, kind of like a dry spice. Get it spicy just do it!I got the pork skewerChicken wing skewerShrimp skewerEggplant skewerI might pass on the shrimp one as it was a bit dry or overcooked and the eggplant which is a bit wetter for my taste. Next time, would love to try their sweet potato skewer 😋
