There are many reasons why YUBU is a fantastic choice for your next meal, but its uniqueness and quality are at the top of the list. Instead of a standard, sprawling Korean barbecue or stew restaurant, YUBU offers a focused and expertly crafted product: Yubu Chobap. This specialization means every single bite is made with care and a deep understanding of the dish. The savory and slightly sweet tofu pocket combined with perfectly seasoned rice and a variety of delicious toppings creates a complex and deeply satisfying flavor profile that is both comforting and exciting. The ability to mix and match different flavors in their set boxes (like the "BOX OF 8" or "BOX OF 5") encourages a tasting experience where you can try a little bit of everything, which is a huge plus.
Beyond the food itself, YUBU’s business model is perfectly tailored to the New York consumer. It’s an ideal place for a quick, high-quality bite. The service is fast, as noted by customer reviews, making it an excellent option for a lunch break or a snack between errands. The price point is also very reasonable for the quality and convenience offered, making it an affordable luxury for many. The a la carte options allow you to customize your order to your exact liking, whether you want just one or two pieces or a full meal.
The ambiance and overall experience also contribute to its appeal. The cozy and casual atmosphere, along with the outdoor seating, provides a pleasant setting for a meal. The friendly and efficient service, and the small, thoughtful touches like a pack of gummy bears with your order, create a feeling of genuine hospitality. As an Asian-owned business, it also provides an authentic and culturally rich dining experience. This sense of authenticity and care is what turns a one-time visit into a regular habit for many.
Ultimately, what makes YUBU worth choosing is its ability to deliver a unique, delicious, and convenient meal in a city that values all three. It's a place that takes a single dish and elevates it, offering a creative and flavorful alternative to the usual food options. For anyone in New York looking for a quick and satisfying bite, YUBU is a hidden gem that is well worth seeking out.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Nice little place with bite sized pieces that could serve as either a light snack or a full meal. The Haribo gummy bears that they gave me along with my plate was a cute little touch. Overall, a solid choice!
June 06 · Ray LowStopped at Yubu for a quick snack, got the beef bulgogi one and it was really good. If you only get one it’s quite small but it’s just what I needed and service was super fast. It’s really small inside though so not somewhere you want to sit down.
June 02 · Cami DupontBeen wanting to try YUBU for some time. I’m glad I finally got around to swinging by one of their locations. I was a little disappointed at how tiny the shop was (only one tiny table and chairs), but that isn’t the most important part. The woman that took our order was nice, the food was delicious, and the drinks were quite nice, too! I was particularly impressed with the dalgona coffee. Be sure to mix it up and let things dissolve, though. That is when the coffee really gets good.
February 25 · Eddy GFood was so good. The lady at the cash register was so sweet and patient as we bickered over what to order! Quick, affordable, fresh, amazing. Tiny little spot, best for takeout.
May 03 · Madelyn ReedLight meal/snack (mushroom bulgogi), but kind of pricey. The cashier lady was a bit rude when we were waiting to pay and told to not eat outside food on the tables, which is understandable.
