What makes 7th Street Burger an exceptional choice in a city of endless burger joints is its dedication to a few key principles. These highlights are what have cemented its reputation and created a devoted following.
The Signature Smash Burger: The main event is their classic smash burger. A customer described it as a "classic smash burger" that is "done really well with a lot of flavor." The menu focuses on a simple formula: 100% fresh beef patties served with American cheese, grilled onions, pickles, and the restaurant's special house sauce on a Martin's potato bun. One reviewer even suggested, "the patties are small so suggest getting a double," which is a great tip to ensure a hearty meal.
Fries and Loaded Fries: The fries are a star in their own right, praised for being "really good" and "crisp." For a more indulgent experience, the "Loaded Beef Fries" and "Loaded Impossible Fries" take things to the next level, topped with chopped burger patties, American cheese, grilled onions, and their house sauce. The addition of a "Side of House Sauce" or "Side of Ghost Pepper Sauce" is a small but essential detail that enhances the flavor.
Excellent Vegetarian Options: 7th Street Burger doesn’t forget about its vegetarian patrons. It offers a full range of vegetarian options with the Impossible Burger, including a single patty, a double, and spicy jalapeño versions, as well as the vegetarian "Loaded Impossible Fries." This inclusivity is a major highlight that broadens its appeal.
Fast Service and Affordability: The "Fast service" highlight is a recurring theme in customer feedback. The restaurant is praised for its efficiency, even when crowded, making it a reliable choice for a quick meal. A reviewer also noted that it is "Surprisingly affordable for NYC," making it a great value proposition for a high-quality meal.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Went to this small burger joint with my girlfriend, who lives a few blocks away. It’s a narrow little spot near Central Park definitely more of a takeout place than a dine-in one, so I’d suggest grabbing your food and heading to the park or home. That said, if you love burgers like I do, this place is exceptional. Easily one of the best burgers I’ve had in New York. I got the single patty cheeseburger, and everything was on point the bun, the meat, the sauce all absolutely delicious. The fries were also really good, not a 10/10, but close, and the dipping sauce was excellent.Surprisingly affordable for NYC: the cheeseburger was about $8, fries around $5, and we paid roughly $26 total for two. It was a bit crowded, so we waited a few minutes, but totally worth it. Highly recommend this place is going straight into my top burgers list. Five stars.
July 04 · Julien GarrosClassic smash burger, the patties are small so suggest getting a double. It's done really well with a lot of flavor. The fries are crisp and just the right amount of salt. Great for a quick bite to eat.
August 23 · Benito CamestaTried 7th Street Burger on the Upper West Side and I get the hype now. I ordered a double cheeseburger with regular fries and everything hit the spot. The burger was juicy with that old school griddle flavor and the house sauce pulled it all together perfectly. Fries were hot and crispy. The place is small but full of character with walls covered in bills from around the world and some cool photo decor. If you’re in the area and craving a solid burger this is the move.
June 06 · Manfry MartinezNot A bad price for NYC burgers. We all got cheeseburgers and loaded fries to share. Juicy and yummy but the loaded fries were the best! Loved the sauce and the taste of the Pattie on top. Overall, would recommend to give it a try here.
May 25 · kristin platformsObjectively the burger is a tasty smash burger, but greasy. The fries were good.. My friend's 'no bun' burger was awful (pic attached). They didn't have the option for lettuce replacements for the buns. The worst part was that store had more table space than seating, they needed about 4-5 more chairs to balance out the table eating areas which forced us to sit outside in the freezing cold.
