Amo Seafood Introduce
Nestled in the heart of Greenwich Village, Amo Seafood offers New Yorkers a unique and sophisticated culinary journey to the coasts of Naples and Sicily. This is not your typical seafood restaurant; it's a refined dining experience that blends traditional Neapolitan recipes with a touch of Japanese culinary flair, a concept brought to life by co-founders Chef Pasquale Cozzolino and restaurateur Rosario Procino. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by a chic and intimate atmosphere that feels both trendy and private. The focus is on the impeccable quality of the raw materials, with a menu that highlights the freshness of every ingredient. In addition to local catches, Amo Seafood also proudly imports a selection of unique Mediterranean seafood directly from Italy and Spain, including prized Bluefin Tuna from Spain and vibrant Red Shrimp from Sicily. This dual-sourcing approach guarantees a taste of the Mediterranean right here in New York City. The menu features an array of exquisite dishes, from a stunning raw bar to creative tartare selections and a variety of seafood-centric pastas and entrees. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I highly recommend this restaurant. As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted by a chic and very private atmosphere. We started our experience with two appetizers, both very good. To continue we ate two pasta dishes and those also highlighted the impeccable quality of the raw materials. As for the service, it was excellent and very professional even if we had long waits between one meal and another. I am curious to return soon to try other dishes. I consider the restaurant excellent for those who love eating seafood.
May 21 · Monica MarinelliYou can get $25 off through the link on my profile. First impression was really good, thanks to the gorgeous interior and extremely friendly staff. The complimentary octopus appetizer was also very tasty. I can’t say I enjoyed the seafood entrees as much, though, as they did not taste fresh at all. The crab pasta was better than the octopus entree. With a discount, the whole meal not too bad, but I’m not sure it’s worth the full price. Still, I can see many people enjoying it, and the vibes are really great.
June 14 · L.You know that rare kind of pleasure that’s full of passion? That’s AMO.A beautiful explosion of flavors and aromas that instantly transport you back to memories, into vibes, and deep into a sensory world of emotion. The food? Absolutely unforgettable. Unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. It’s the kind of experience that stays with you… because it doesn’t just satisfy your taste buds, it awakens all your senses.Truly one of the most memorable and tasty experiences in NYC. Amazing!
July 18 · Ann SergeevaA great Italian seafood place, we enjoyed all of our dishes. I personally loved the texture of the pasta, freshly made but still al dente. The crab pasta was very yummy. The restaurant is very nicely decorated but it’s not great for noise. One party was being loud and it became extremely hard to hear what anyone on my table was saying. Pay with Inkind app and save tons of money!
July 25 · Jing YangThe decor and ambiance was very nice as was the plating. It was a Tuesday so staff was limited but it wound up taking away from the potential evening. We ordered oysters at first, had one bad and nearly all were still at least partially connected to the shells, neither did we receive any oyster forks. The small plates arrived all at once and so the final two dishes wound up being cold by the time we got to them arguably the ones that should've been the hottest - tempura cheese and smoked mussels. The spider crab spaghetti was good, great plating and the sauce was mostly well seasoned except needing some salt. The desserts were ok, the cassata was overly sweet and particularly granulated; a pity ,I love a good cassata cake.Overall, they have some major kinks to work out. My hope is they and should they, they're starting with a decent foundation of dishes, which if served correctly would probably have delivered a much more pleasing dinner.
