We visited this restaurant after a busy day of sightseeing. We were welcomed immediately and seated at a large booth suitable for our family of 5. We were brought water and a huge menu!! We were not disappointed with the food, all was hot, tasty and loads of it!! Staff was attentive and we had a good chat with them. Highly recommend for families as something for everyone. Portions so large we had to have a doggy bag!!

Great location and ambience, but little there to recommend the food. A diner short stack and a slice of apple pie are the hallmark of American road cuisine and a good measuring stick. The pancakes are basic, small, but adequate. The pie, however, is something else. The cross section evokes the look of a leather shoe filled with moldy fruit and the taste matches. Hard to put a finger on it, but earthy, metallic and rancid were all that we could put into words. Service was quick, indifferent and entirely average, the highlight. Lots of great diners in New York, but this isn't one of them.

Friendly service and fun location and atmosphere, but the food was mediocre at best and expensive relative to quality and portion. The kids enjoyed the packages and french toast, both adequate but extremely basic.

I walked in and was greeted and seated rather quickly. The hostess was very friendly. I had the western omelet with home fries. The food was average, but I liked the cozy environment. However, what ruined our breakfast was that the pretty brunette waitress was the rudest server I've ever had. She got upset that I asked for a side of sour cream (Im paying and eating! I should be able to have it my way!) I went in with two other friends... so when it came time for the checks and she had separated... I told her just go ahead and give them all to me. She got so upset and snarled at us and turned and walked away without even saying thanks for coming. We were nothing but polite to her and it's not like she worked the register.

It was a great quick breakfast! Plenty of seating available at 8am before to rush. Food was quick and simple. The staff was nice.
