★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Absolutely loved it here! We’ve wanted to try this spot for awhile; I’m so glad we were able to come for dinner. We didn’t have reservations, showed up at 4:40 and they told us to come back at 5:00 pm, because that’s when they begin seating for dinner.I ordered an iced tea, steak frites, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Everything was delicious and very fresh. There was plenty to share and the sides we ordered were for the table.I’ll definitely be back again soon to order the steak again. It was the best steak I’ve gotten in the city; it was juicy and hot. I loved it.We want to come back for brunch too; their breakfast options looked great too. There is also a pastry shop next door where you can order drinks and snacks. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.I’ll definitely be back again soon.
August 16 · Colette HebertDelicious food and good service. What more could you want? Got the mac & cheese and the steak frites, both were excellent. Portions were quite big for us, and we were stuffed. Needless to say, no dessert. The restaurant is also a bakery, which has very tasty bread. Overall a great experience!
August 16 · Léa Kandl-ZhangThis place is a great restaurant. The atmosphere really reflects a parisian Bistro. The food is very good. I gave a neutral stars rating for the service, not because it was bad, but because the waiters were very busy so they were kinda in a hurry to take our order and it took them a while to check on us to see if we needed anything else, on and off the menu. Anyways, I really recommend to have lunch or dinner there, preferably not at the peak hours and you'll probably a 5 star experience
July 12 · Steph Edy✨ A little slice of Paris in the heart of New York!We walked into Balthazar on a rainy day without a reservation — and somehow got lucky with a table outside. The drizzle only added to the charm and made the experience unforgettable. The portions are generous, the flavors divine. Every dish felt carefully prepared, fresh, and satisfying. The atmosphere was buzzing, yet cozy — and the service was fast, warm, and attentive.Perfect spot for a delicious lunch with that unmistakable French touch.Highly recommend booking in advance — we were lucky, but this place fills up for a reason.
June 26 · Tatiana KuzminaPopped in for my birthday lunch. Marvelous swanky bustling atmosphere- exquisite old world ambience - very succulent tender escargots in garlic butter- a smart lamb sandwich- my friend had a very tender tasty chicken breast. Cheers to the Maitre’d on March 18 who came over to enquire how everything was going - and on learning I was celebrating my birthday offered us champagne….that was so darling- thank you!!!!Then for dessert we had a pear flan with pear sorbet - and creme brûlée- my dessert appeared with the perfunctory single birthday candle! We had a marvelous experience- the service was quick and our server was especially attentive. Beautiful atmosphere for any occasion - from a quick bite solo - or the entire family!
