Bamboo Juice Bar: Empanadas and Mexican Food Reviews
had a few picks from their variety of empanadas. all delicious! service is fast and they also have ice cream
August 17 · Lopen ZuoThis was a fast, finger food place: quipe, pastelitos, chulitos, palitos de queso, etc. I loved the pastelitos from here. The crust had a tinge of sweetness like no other, but the service was very inconsistent. The first time I tried a pastelito from here, I had a beef filling and it had raisins! I loved it. It reminded me of my late grandmother's pastelitos❤️. The following times after that visit, they never again added raisins and told me they never had. The servers didn't seem to know how to do simple math sometimes undercharging, others overcharging and there were constant new faces. The establishment did not have set hours/days of operation and opened when they felt like it. At times the front of the store would be left unattended while the food was cooked in the back, not visible to customers. This place hasn't opened in over 7 months as far as I know. I started to think this was a front business for money laundering. Now if you pass by, you'll see folks posted by the establishment's closed gate with a table of merchandise to sell to passersby. While the food was good, the service was trash. If you went in there at 3pm and there were no more Carne pastelitos, you were out of luck because they would not make another batch. It's like they didn't want to make money.
