★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1this is one of those places you would consider to be a hood delicacy. a gem. a diamond in the rough. it’s located right off of scott & 610 in south union but its worth the visit. I drove past it and decided that I should try it to see whats going on. this was the best intuitive decision I’ve made in quite some time.the food was delicious. it was one lady in there ordering and cooking the stuff but man it was fantastic. very authentic Jamaican (caribbean) dishes. I had the 3 meat plate ($33 and I picked jerk chicken, beef ribs and curry goat) and every piece of meat type was tender and fall off the bone. the jerk chicken was savory and the bbq sauce was delicious. the beef ribs might have been my favorite but its truly hard to pick. the curry goat was seasoned wonderfully. i will be coming back to try the oxtails because she ran out but i can only imagine what those will hit for. i also got the plantains and potato salad which were both solid side dishes.i would compare this place to cool runnings as far as quality of food. they are neck and neck. don’t believe me? come see for yourself. they take online orders as well.
July 03 · DJ AudiToryAbsolutely amazing Caribbean vibes!I originally came just for the jerk chicken and plantains—mainly because of their hours—but I ended up getting two meals instead of one thanks to their generous portion sizes. I also spent over two hours talking with Kerdelle (one of the owners), and I must say, he’s an incredible person. Hearing the story of their journey and the passion behind what they do was inspiring. This place gets a 10/10 from me. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m near any of their affiliate restaurants.
August 03 · Damion WiltshireThe food was amazing. The food was very fresh and had A Texas kick to the food. It’s a family owned business. They were super sweet and nice Also, let me taste test the food before I got it!! Y’all should definitely come visit this spot
February 16 · Tiarra MooreOrdered for delivery through Ubereats. Ok so this particular part is not on the business. Uber driver just sits when they were suppose to be picking up my order. So I had to wait an extra 1hr from the 1hr that my order was originally placed. So that would be the issue with why my food arrived cold. So I am not giving them one star because my food arrived cold but because my chicken was extremely dry. It's as though it was day off chicken. The ribs tasted boiled. The oxtails were tender and had flavor to be honest they were the only eatable things on the plate and there were only 2 of them and they were small. Maybe I caught them on a bad night but I will give them another try but this time I will go in person. Hopefully there is a different outcome
March 12 · angela thomasEDIT: They responded down below. At least they show some level of responsibility. So I have improved the score.Original:Very disappointed. You COMPLETELY messed up my order.I said the sauce was supposed to be on the side, and it’s not on the side. There is no oxtail, even though I said oxtail.I need a refund immediately or some other offer because this is not okay.
