Casino Introduce
New York City's dining scene is a world of its own, and every now and then, a restaurant emerges that captures the city's unique blend of tradition and trend. Casino, located on East Broadway in the Lower East Side, is one such place. This Italian restaurant is a vibrant destination that leans into the glamour of coastal Italian and French Riviera fare, all while maintaining a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It’s not just a place to eat; it's a place to be seen, to celebrate, and to enjoy an evening that feels special and memorable.
The first thing you'll notice about Casino is its impeccable decor. The ambiance is thoughtfully crafted, with a warm and inviting setting that immediately transports you. The menu at Casino offers a journey through refined Italian cuisine with a coastal influence. While some dishes are a gamble, others are absolute standouts that keep people coming back. Patrons rave about the fresh and simple Insalata mista, a refreshing start to any meal. A true highlight is the Heritage chicken, a dish so exceptional that even those who rarely order chicken at restaurants find themselves craving it regularly. The use of fragrant ajwain gastrique and a velvety Vidalia onion soubise elevates this dish to "pure perfection." Other notable items include the simple yet perfectly prepared Romano Beans, which some customers make a point to order on every visit. The menu also features small plates, such as Spiced Coppa and Nduja Bread, along with larger entrees like the impressive 32oz Aged T-Bone Steak and the Whole Roast Turbot for two, perfect for a grand culinary experience.
Beyond the food, the bar at Casino is a destination in itself. The restaurant is celebrated for its great cocktails and an extensive, well-curated wine list. It’s the perfect place to start your evening, whether with a refreshing aperitif or a classic cocktail mixed to perfection. The late-night food offerings are also a welcome feature, making it a great spot to wind down after a show or a long day. The combination of a chic atmosphere, a diverse menu, and a strong beverage program makes Casino a complete and compelling dining experience for a night out in New York City.
While some might find the pricing to be on the higher side, the overall experience—from the ambiance to the service and the standout dishes—justifies the cost for many. It's a place that balances a trendy feel with a cozy warmth, and its popularity among groups and solo diners alike speaks volumes about its broad appeal.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The decor at casino creates a lovely setting, and you can tell they've put effort into the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the same standard. While the portions were substantial, the dishes were ultimately unremarkable and didn't offer anything particularly exciting or memorable. It felt a bit pretentious, with prices that seemed inflated for the quality of the food. This could be a decent choice for a special occasion where ambiance is a priority, but for a regular dining experience, it's not worth the cost. With so many incredible dining options in New York, this is likely a "one and done" for me. I'd prioritize trying other places before considering a second visit.
April 12 · Anne VogtCasino restaurant envelops diners in a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly sets the stage for an extraordinary meal. The Insalata mista is perfect for salad lovers—simple, fresh, and lightly dressed to let the ingredients shine. It’s a refreshing start that feels effortlessly balanced. The Heritage chicken is a standout dish that keeps me coming back. Featuring a fragrant ajwain gastrique and a velvety Vidalia onion soubise, this dish is pure perfection. It's so good that I, someone who rarely orders chicken at restaurants, find myself craving it regularly. That alone speaks volumes about its quality.I’m also endlessly impressed by their Romano Beans, available year-round. Somehow, Casino manages to make this humble ingredient a star in a dish I make a point to enjoy every single visit.
November 17 · carlos borgesI came here for my friend’s bday dinner. First, food and vibes are really really great. But we were very disappointed by service. Our server James never came to check on us and we couldn’t ask/order things on right time. We also ordered three bottles and when we finally got it we poured our own drinks as nobody came to help us. Also we called ahead to ask for candles as we were celebrating a birthday and he said okay, but he didn’t provide it. We had to ask a manager to get the candles she was very nice and helpful. I would like to come back for food but not for service.
May 29 · Clara ParkIt was a beautiful Saturday evening , so that meant busy busy busy. Waiting list were hrs long. Somehow we managed to be seated immediately here in the front dining area, which was perfect. We were greeted so kindly, staff there was super cool and funny. They made sure we were comfy and happy with our selections. Beautiful ambiance and aesthetic. Ok so for starters we went with the funghi fritti, caesar salad, and grilled prawns. Man that salad was so bomb!!! the dressing has this slight tanginess to it, just so delicious! Scrape the plate good, fresh croutons may I add. Ok for the mains we went with the porcini tortelloni and the bucatini with clams. So So So So very good ! Another episode of left the empty an clean. Dessert for the grand finale we went with affogato! Devoured that treat! Alongside of our dishes we had a nice chilled glass of white wine. Irman our waiter was super awesome! We will be returning to try the fries, I heard they are one of kind. Great time!
May 04 · Dali JProbably more of a 3.5. Pretty restaurant, upstairs and down. Very active noise level and very close to one another tables. Cocktails were good, appetizers (eggplant faratini, radicchio salad, gulf shrimp) fine. I had the pesto pasta and it was really under seasoned. My friend had the clam pasta. We shared the pavlova for dessert and it was, again, fine. Good not great but an energetic lively vibe. Probably worth a revisit in the future.
