While the menu at Ceres is simple, focusing on a few select pies, each one is a masterpiece in its own right. The best way to experience what makes this place special is to dive into their most popular and praised offerings.
The tomato pie is, without a doubt, a must-try. A customer review states that "nothing touches it," which is high praise in a city like New York. This pizza is a perfect example of how simple ingredients can create an incredible depth of flavor when executed perfectly. The sauce is the star, and it shines on the super-thin, crispy crust.
If you're looking for a classic, the cheese pizza is another phenomenal choice. It's a testament to the quality of the cheese and the mastery of the dough, providing a familiar flavor but with a level of quality that sets it apart. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Ceres is as good as it gets for NYC pizza. Originally had the cheese upon first visit then had to go back for the mushroom. Both were incredible. They put a lot of effort in to their dough and it shows; super thin, crispy and packed with flavor. It’s cool how their pizzas are all elevated in terms of the ingredients, preparation and flavor but they are not overwhelming by any means. You can enjoy multiple slices with ease. Best pizza in NYC. Get there early and expect to wait; reserve a time slot, go do some stuff, then come back and enjoy.
August 17 · Spencer LincolnThis place was definitely legit. We walked in at around 12 o’clock on a Sunday. Nice young lady and she basically told us you know you could order right now And come back around 2 PM and exactly 2 PM. The food is ready. The two chefs were in the back. We’re awesome. They were really nice to talk to. They even told me to have a slice right now cause it’s perfect before you take it to go and gave me a slice of each one before I took the pies to go incredible Service the pizza was phenomenal. You could tell they use top level ingredients. You get what you pay for the slices were paper thin like a cracker. The ingredients were top level. You could tell you’re eating quality. It was worth the wait. If you planted out correctly it’s incredible. Give it a chance you won’t be disappointed. I’m telling you the tomato pie, nothing touches it.five stars all around we’ll definitely be back.
July 03 · jonHonestly, this place is extremely overhyped. We got there at 1 PM and managed to get two pies for $81 — one was a tomato pie and the other a regular pie. The pizza was… okay at best. Nothing mind-blowing. The crust was super crunchy with no flop, but the sauce was lacking flavor — it was missing proper seasoning. Even the cheese ratio felt off. The tomato pie especially was a letdown — basically just white tomato, no real punch to it. Between the four of us, not one person genuinely enjoyed either pie. For the price, we expected way more. Thethe place was nice though. You’re all piece of fanatics But truly, Pizza, but it might not be to our taste buds, I’m not a hater You should try for yourself decide
August 17 · sahil kapoorAbsolutely worth the wait! This pizza is next-level—perfectly crisp crust, rich, flavorful sauce, and fresh toppings that taste like they were made just for you. You can tell they put real care into every pie. It’s not the kind of pizza you grab in a hurry, so plan ahead, because once you take that first bite, you’ll know it was time well spent. Hands down one of the best pizza experiences I’ve ever had!
August 03 · Reagan BossolinaThe pizza is very good but I have to consider the price point in my review. If it were a $25 pie, it’s a 9/10. It’s simply not worth the cost (and wait because time = money). A plain cheese pie, although large at 18”, came up to about $54 with tax and tip. It was lacking enough cheese as well. The service is very good though. The owners were running around trying to help everyone while making the pizzas. I ordered takeout but as I received my order, a seat opened up and I grabbed it. The owner kindly took the pizza out of the box and put it on a dine-in stand. Through all the chaos they were able to have short and friendly interactions with customers, always saying thank you. This is good enough for me to return.
