my boyfriend made a reservation here at opening and the host/owner? was extremely welcoming and friendly. The servers were attentive to our questions and gave us recommendations as well as specials for the day. I have trouble eating spicy food but the spicyness was tolerable. I forgot the names of the dishes but they were delicious (see photos)!!! Overall, the vibe was romantic and fancy. Would come back to try more dishes!

Just finished eating here, the 30 walk from my hotel in midtown was worth every minute of it. I can see why they are so highly rated. I got the chicken korma with coriander rice and garlic naan. It was the best Garlic Naan I've ever had. A fluffy thicker naan, made fresh in house, they don't advertise it on the menu but can make a chili garlic naan upon request. The korma was a rich and creamy North Indian korma, very tasty. Planning to make another visit before my trip is done.

What an amazing dining experience…Wow, Wow, Wow!!! From Syed greeting us at the door, to the warm, inviting interior, Cloves did not disappoint. The waitstaff was quite attentive and the ambiance cozy. And from the first bite of our appetizers (Samosas, Shrimp Balboa and Butter Garlic Shrimp…I know, sigh…we couldn’t decide so we got both and glad we were indecisive). The rich Malbec and the bold Mango Lassi with Spiced Rum offset our exceptionally tender Chicken Jalfrezi and Chicken Korma beautifully. Though satisfied and unable to eat another bite halfway through our entrees, we couldn’t resist the deliciously sweet Gulab Jamun. Can’t wait to return. Would love to give this gem more stars. Great service by the owner Syed. Restaurant was booked and although we had reservations it looked like it was going to be a long wait for the table. Syed the owner took it upon himself to make sure we did not have to wait long.Great drinks .. lamb chops were amazing as were all the chicken dishes.Was so good that we went back the next day for lunch prior to leaving for our flight.

10/10 experience! Syed was so sweet it was like a little piece of home. Each piece of food felt home cooked and delicious. I can not emphasize this enough it best meal I have had in awhile!!
