What is worth choosing
So, with all the dining options available in Houston, what truly sets Cobos apart and makes it a destination worth choosing? It's the unique combination of outstanding food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a commitment to quality service. The star of the show for many is the brisket quesadilla. As one passionate customer review exclaimed, the brisket is so tender and smoky that it's a "5 fingers smackin'" experience. This is a testament to the authentic Texas barbecue heritage infused into their menu. But the excellence doesn’t stop there. The birria tacos, with their rich, savory broth and tender meat, are a must-try for any fan of Mexican cuisine. The beef fajita tacos and chicken tacos are also popular choices, although a few customers have noted that the chicken tacos can sometimes be a bit dry, which is something to be mindful of. However, the delicious house sauces are always there to add a kick of flavor.
Beyond the barbecue, Cobos excels at American comfort food. The bacon cheeseburger is a crowd-pleaser, with one burger connoisseur declaring it "phenomenal." The wings, with their incredible crunch and delicious house sauce, are also a definite highlight and perfect for sharing. Cobos is a sports bar, too, making it the ideal venue for grabbing a beer and a bite while you watch the game. The great beer selection, coupled with small plates and a casual vibe, creates the perfect environment for cheering on your favorite team. The fact that it is Latino-owned and women-owned adds to its charm, providing an opportunity for patrons to support a local business with deep community roots. Whether you're stopping by for a quick lunch, a long dinner with friends, or just a happy hour drink, Cobos offers a memorable and satisfying experience that will have you coming back for more. It’s a true Houston gem that combines the best of multiple worlds, all under one roof.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I ordered the chicken tacos and was underwhelmed. They were dry and flavorless. Even adding the green sauce and lime juice did nothing to help.Sadly, I won't be back gor their tacos. The staff was great, and the place was empty.
April 19 · Richard EldridgeI love coming Here when I visit Houston.Today I was lucky to get in before the dinner rush. I brought a co worker, service was wonderful- but the food was better! The brisket quesadillas…”when it touched my mouth I could taste the smoke, 5 fingers smackin”.That’s the official review from my buddy. We shared an order wings with the house sauce. Those were amazing. “The crunch on them jawns were something else” also official statement.I had a slice of homies bacon cheese burger. That was phenomenal. “I wish I didn’t share any of that burger”. Burger connoisseur review.I’ll be back. For sure.If you can stop by for a beer and bite before a game or after work please do. Shit is real good.🤘🏽
December 06 · Taylor KondelisVisiting Houston for a couple of days and was told by a coworker about this place. Stopped in and ordered the Brisket Mac Quesadilla. The smoke flavor on the brisket was Amazing!!! Definitely recommend this plate!! My buddy had the Birria Tacos and said they were Really Good also!! Check this place out if you are in the area!!
July 31 · John BundyGreat bar to visit. Super friendly staff and a large selection of drinks. The birria tacos are good, and you get a good portion. I'm definitely coming back here the next time I'm in downtown.
April 17 · SethCobos is a local place just across from MMP. Owner has been at it from the ground up and his menu is simple but outstanding. We had the brisket quesadillas, which comes with or w/out the mac. Oh man, they were incredible. Chips and salsa weren’t just a bag opened up and served. Great food and lots of drink options for those that enjoy a cocktail.
