★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Got the tasting menu and sat at the counter. Very interactive experience and got to talk to a bunch of FOH and BOH staff who all had a lot of knowledge! Snacks were incredible, great start to the meal. All the dishes used incredibly native ingredients to different areas of Mexico! The dishes had so much flavor and were unique. Desserts weren’t the best but overall great experience and would go back for a la carte!
July 06 · Claire ErlandsonThis was an absolutely amazing meal! The restaurant definitely deserves all the accolades it has received. The service was excellent, and most of the menu hit the mark, if not exceeded it. I should note that you don’t actually see the menu in advance (though they do give you a copy at the end), and I loved the surprise factor. The top dishes of the evening for me were a perfectly cooked and succulent mackerel and a wonderfully spiced branzino collar. And unbeknownst to me beforehand as well was that the chef spent time in Shanghai, and several of the dishes had hints of Asian flavors - I definitely detected a hint of the scallion pancakes I’d get when I lived in Shanghai in the tortillas. On top of the incredible food and service, I had a front-row seat at the counter overlooking the open kitchen, and it was impressive to watch all the dishes being prepared. This is one of my new favorite restaurants! I’ll definitely be back!
June 03 · ReedHAbsolutely LOVED this experience!! We went on a Friday night and are soooo happy we chose this place to celebrate our anniversary! The food was new, exciting, and definitely worth the price if you want to experience a special evening. The dining experience took us about 1.5-2 hrs, we never felt rushed, and the staff was incredibly attentive and responsive to questions throughout. As for the food, it was $125 for the tasting menu and $75 for the drink pairing—we got both. Each dish seemed to champion fresh ingredients that have been utilized in some of the most creative ways I have seen in a while! We will be back!
August 03 · Aveline KreilingTradition meets innovation with bold flavours and execution. Not the generalisation of Mexican food you imagine. Take a seat at the chef’s counter and let it unfold in front of you.I’m so glad they also offer A la carte menu sitting by the front of the restaurant. Great playlist and wonderful staffs.
August 15 · Jean NgCorima, a newly Michelin-starred restaurant and recent James Beard Award nominee, still feels like a hidden gem tucked away in Manhattan’s Chinatown. This was easily one of the most inventive and memorable tasting menu experiences I’ve had. Chef Fidel Caballero’s Northern Mexican-inspired cuisine—rooted in sustainability and bold creativity—offers a refreshing and forward-thinking culinary perspective. The meal opens strong with dishes like the branzino collar, which delivers an impressive depth of flavor. The scallop course is light and bright, balanced with just the right touch of spice. The standout of the night, however, is the veal brain taco with bay leaf—a daring and impeccably seasoned dish that’s both texturally unique and deeply flavorful. The tortillas alone are extraordinary—unlike anything I’ve had before.Desserts round out the evening with thoughtful variety, adding a final touch to an already remarkable experience. Corima is an exceptional and exciting addition to New York’s fine dining scene, and one that truly deserves more attention.
