Crave Sushi Bar Introduce
In the vibrant dining scene of Midtown East, Crave Sushi Bar offers a fresh take on Japanese cuisine that is both modern and memorable. This is not your average sushi spot; it is a place where classic traditions meet creative innovation, resulting in a menu that surprises and delights. Located on 2nd Avenue, Crave Sushi Bar has quickly established itself as a go-to destination for New Yorkers seeking high-quality fish served in a trendy and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's philosophy is rooted in using the freshest possible ingredients, and then elevating them with unique flavor combinations and impeccable presentation. Whether you're a purist who appreciates the simple elegance of fresh sashimi or an adventurous diner looking for a "fusion" experience, Crave Sushi Bar has something that will satisfy your every desire. It is a perfect spot for a business lunch, a celebratory dinner, or even a solo meal at the counter.
The atmosphere at Crave Sushi Bar is a major part of its appeal. Described as "modern and trendy for casual but chic," it provides a sophisticated yet approachable setting. The clean lines, contemporary decor, and well-lit space create an environment that feels both cool and comfortable. As one satisfied customer noted, the staff provides "impeccable" service, with a deep knowledge of the menu and a genuine willingness to accommodate dietary restrictions, such as gluten allergies. The ability to find delicious and filling gluten-free options like the shrimp and crab dumplings is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to inclusivity and thoughtful cooking. This attention to detail and personal care makes every visit feel special, whether you are celebrating a major life event or simply stopping by for a quick bite.
Beyond the ambiance and service, the food itself is the star of the show. The menu features a variety of high-quality fish, including sustainably certified Bluefin Tuna O-Toro, Ora King Salmon, and Santa Barbara Uni. However, what truly sets Crave Sushi Bar apart is its creative "twist" on traditional dishes. As one reviewer mentioned, they serve "fresh sashimi and sushi with a twist like browned butter or yuzu sauce with your sushi rolls or handrolls." This kind of innovation elevates the dining experience, transforming classic dishes into something new and exciting. The menu also includes a variety of cooked "Large Plates" and "Hot Plates" for those who want to venture beyond raw fish, such as the Crispy Chicken or Dashi Ramen Pasta.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1So happy I celebrated my big birthday here as the service was impeccable, even for the outdoor seating in summer. The staff are experts on the menu and anticipating allergies. First gluten-free shrimp and crab dumplings I have found that are filling and delicious. Great quality fish and generous hospitality that matched the luminous energy of a very special personal moment. Highly recommend and definitely coming back for many more memorable evenings!
August 24 · C WIf you like fusion then worth a visit. They serve fresh sashimi and sushi with a twist like browned butter or yuzu sauce with your sushi rolls or handrolls. The atmosphere is modern and trendy for casual but chic.
August 18 · EllenUnimpressed. The fluke was good, but was drenched in so much Ponzo sauce that it turned it into the equivalent of ceviche before it was finished. The salad comes with a knife and fork and for good reason because it is almost impossible to eat; Presentation visually unappealing as well. Lots and lots of good sushi in New York. I won’t be back.
May 07 · Diana GHarold our server was fantastic!! Started off with a Lychee-tini and Sake. He gave us the recommendation of the Local Scallop Dressed Nigiri which melted in our mouth. We next moved to the Salmon Crispy Rice which was very flavorful from the Yuzu Gochujang sauce. We next moved on to one of Harold’s recommendations on Roll of the Day which was a Crazy Californian Roll with Alaskan King Crab which had a beautiful sesame seed crunch on top. And rounding out with the Bluefin Tuna O-Toro which has shishito peppers inside the roll, giving it a fresh palate cleaner feel.Overall would love to come again and try new things and get more recommendations from Harold 😁
March 26 · Francesca FWe had the best time. Food was prepared to perfection. Our steward Harold was AMAZING, guided us, and chose our dinner. It will definitely be one of our spots every time we visit NYC!!
