They note that the main draw is the signature tofu stew, a must-try for any visitor. The focus is on authentic, home-style cooking that feels both special and comforting.

---When it comes to deciding what to order at Dubu Maru, you’re spoiled for choice. However, a few items stand out and are consistently recommended by both staff and regulars. The clear choice, as its name suggests, is the soon tofu stew. This is the restaurant's signature dish, and it lives up to the hype. The stew is served in a hot stone pot, and you can choose from various proteins and flavors to customize it to your liking, from the classic Seafood Tofu Stew to the savory Kimchi Beef Tofu Stew. Each stew comes with a side of rice, making it a hearty and satisfying meal. If you don't like tofu, then you might want to consider another place, as this is the centerpiece of their menu.
Beyond the stew, the Bibimbap is another must-try. This classic Korean mixed rice dish is a feast for both the eyes and the palate. They offer two versions: the traditional Jeonju Bibimbap and the unique Ulleungdo Squid Bibimbap. These are served in a hot bowl, and the combination of fresh vegetables, rice, and your choice of protein is simply divine.
For those looking to share or sample, the Korean Pancakes are a fantastic appetizer. The Dongrae Green Onion Pancake is a classic, while the Assorted Pancake Sampler allows you to try a bit of everything. The Royal Grilled Prime Galbi Patties are a standout for those looking for a special treat. They are tender, flavorful, and a testament to the high-quality ingredients used.
And don’t forget to check out their lunch specials. As one reviewer mentioned, they offer great value with generous portions and exceptional quality, making it a perfect option for a midday meal. While prices may have recently increased, the quality and quantity of food remain high, making it a worthwhile splurge. The combination of authentic, delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere makes Dubu Maru a top choice for anyone craving a genuine Korean dining experience in the heart of New York City.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Situated on the second level of the building, this open modern Korean eatery serves up delicious classics. Attentive and friendly service. My only criticism is that the food comes out a little too fast -- I had barely started on the appetizer and the entree was already coming. Nonetheless, an enjoyable experience!
January 06 · Andy NgReally great lunch specials, though a little pricey (they just raised prices by $2 to $20), but you get a lot of food and great quality along with exceptional service. Just to make sure that everyone understands that the main reason to go to Dubu Maru is the tofu, so if you don't like tofu, then please skip this place.
November 05 · Matthew LeeIt's apparent once we got our orders that this restaurant uses quality ingredients. All their dishes were well flavoured, not overly salted, and of high quality, which is atypical of most Korean restaurants on the same block that just mix chili powder with water or use the common chili paste and MSG. Even their banchan sides were unique and of great quality! The restaurant setting was also very nice and there were fancy speakers that I once saw being sold at a French airport. Definitely would come back and highly recommend!
September 08 · Mandy KuoHighly Recommend Country-Style Set for Two (aka 시골밥상). Reasonably priced for very authentic Korean dishes.
January 06 · JeremyLoved the ambience, flavorful side dishes, and delicious and comforting soondubu. It was the best meal I could ask for after a long day of travel. Would 10/10 recommend this place.
