Came here with hubby for our anniversary after watching a Broadway show nearby. Place did not disappoint-- can always count on this restaurant for good food and service and ambiance. Place feels fancy but the staff/servers are not stuck-up.My only gripe is that it is sooo pricey, if ordering a la carte. The fresh caught fish from the selections was anywhere from $70 to $95 -- a POUND!Which would make a 2 pound Branzino $200!!! Now, I LOVE branzino but there is no way in hell that I'm paying $200 for it!(Besides, I make whole Branzino at home regularly, so it's certainly not a novelty for me.)On that note, they were very smart to do a pre-theater menu for $65 (albeit with smaller-sized dishes, which was actually completely fine), which draws people in, I'm sure.We ended up doing one pre-theater menu - 1 appetizer, 1 main dish, and 1 dessert (had the grilled octopus, which was delicious and the Dorado, which was good but not great, and the cake with ice cream, which was very good) and a few dishes a la carte. We had the Greek Salad, which was delicious, the giant prawns (too chewy), and the scallops, which were divine! Also had the dip trio, which was very good!Best dish, hands down, was the scallops! - Natalya Pigulskaya

What is worth choosing?

The menu at estiatorio Milos is a celebration of Greek cuisine, with an emphasis on fresh, simple preparations. While the a la carte pricing for whole fish can be quite high, there are many fantastic dishes that are worth choosing. The Grilled Octopus is consistently praised by reviewers for being perfectly cooked and tender. Another classic is the Milos Special, a dish of lightly fried zucchini and eggplant served with tzatziki and Kefalograviera cheese, which is a must-try. The Greek Spreads, a trio of taramosalata, tzatziki, and htipiti served with grilled pita, is also a great way to start your meal and is perfect for sharing.

For a main course, the scallops are highly recommended by a reviewer for being "divine." The Grilled Lamb Chops are a popular choice for those who prefer meat, and the Astako-Makaronada, a lobster pasta, is a signature dish that, while it may come with a supplement on a prix-fixe menu, is considered well worth the added cost. The Greek Salad, with its authentic ingredients and fresh flavors, is a simple yet perfect side dish. When it comes to dessert, the Greek Yogurt with honey and walnuts is a classic and refreshing end to the meal, while the Baklava is a rich and satisfying choice.

The pre- and post-theater menus offer a fantastic way to sample many of the restaurant's signature dishes at a set price, which many visitors find to be the most compelling reason to dine here. For example, a three-course menu often includes choices like grilled octopus or Greek spreads for the first course, grilled fish of the day or lamb chops for the second, and Greek yogurt or baklava for dessert. This is a great way to experience the high quality and delicious flavors that estiatorio Milos is known for without the surprise of a high a la carte bill. Overall, the consistently good food, friendly service, and elegant atmosphere make estiatorio Milos a truly exceptional dining destination in New York City.
