This is our second time at this location. The sushi area seems to be always empty. The hibachi scene this time was active and rarely lively. Upon our arrival there was no hostesses or wait staff to greet us or to seat us.The special rolls are relatively large and tasty. The menu font is a bit tiny so make sure to read carefully or ask questions.They received a three star rating for amount of time it took for a staff member to realize we were waiting to be seated and after attempting to flag down the bartender and two members of their staff. Truly disappointing.The food is good and recommend if you’re in the mood for some sushi

The food is good and the service was also good but the atmosphere is awful. If you're a family with small children or a group of teenagers going there for the hibachi, then I guess it's the atmosphere you're looking for. But it is not a good place for a regular dinner. The hibachi area is in the middle of the dining room and is very loud. Also, it seems that this is where everyone takes their children for their birthdays and these are celebrated with not only singing staff, but a very loud gong! Order takeout or skip it.

From the time we entered the restaurant we were greeted very pleasantly and taken to our Hibachi Grill table. I Love how open and airy the space is. The service was amazing!Our chef did a really good job by keeping us engaged and cracking some jokes as well.Can you imagine in this day and age the restaurant says NO TIP REQUIRED!? Is this some sort of reverse psychology? Well it worked lol because the service we received was exceptional so it was only fitting to leave a tip for good service.We made reservations, no credit card was required.The menu was also extensive and drinks were delicious as well.

I contacted Flame to make a reservation for a special occasion for a party of five. They informed me that a credit card was required to reserve a table, or we could come in as walk-ins. Since it was a special occasion, we opted for the walk-in option.Upon arrival, the host informed us that the next hibachi event would start in 30 minutes, so we decided to wait. After about 40 minutes, another family arrived and were quickly seated. The host then waved us over and seated us next to a family of strangers.The waitress appeared indifferent throughout the experience. She spoke very softly and seemed to focus mainly on the other family. The restaurant was very loud, with constant gong strikes, making it difficult to have a normal conversation.The chef was pleasant, but the food preparation took a long time. By the time our chicken, steak, and vegetables were served, the fried rice was cold. The food itself was mediocre and had a strange taste that I couldn't quite pinpoint.We didn’t see our waitress again until I noticed lipstick on the rim of my glass of water. I was extremely disgusted. After scanning the restaurant and not spotting her, I eventually saw her chatting with co-workers through the glass window near the kitchen. After several minutes, I called her over and asked to speak to the manager.The manager, Justin, came over and nervously laughed about the situation. He eventually deducted 20% from our bill, but I should note that the restaurant already includes a mandatory 20% gratuity charge. This restaurant was a huge disappointment.

I can’t describe or give more than 5 stars! The food was excellent every single meal was perfectly seasoned and i have a shellfish allergy and was given a separate meal away from the shrimp. The staff greeted us as soon as we came in and were ready with celebrations for my daughters birthday dinner and the chef was funny and interacted with us. they cut our bday cake that we brought in allergy friendly perfectly! each staff member was so nice to us. and they thought we forgot our handbag and called us but it wasn’t ours who does that these days? honest people that’s who if i could give 100 stars i would bless you all at Flame hibachi and give them all a raise! 100 82nd street 7/19/25
