★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1After crushing a half marathon, my friend and I stumbled into Golden Shanghai on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated immediately – no wait! – and the staff was incredibly attentive throughout our meal. We ordered shrimp fried rice, steamed pork dumplings, General Tso's chicken, and pork chop with salt and pepper. Honestly, we devoured everything. Maybe it was the post-race hunger, but every dish was delicious. It was a really pleasant experience. Sometimes you just have to take a chance on a lower-rated spot. We're glad we did! Will we come back? Maybe…
March 03 · Enzo TanThe food was alright, nothing spectacular but not bad either. Some dishes were tasty and well-prepared, while others felt a bit bland or under-seasoned. The portion sizes were decent, and the prices were fair for the area. The service was friendly but a little slow at times. Overall, it’s an average dining experience — okay for a casual meal but nothing I’d go out of my way for.
July 14 · Jhin123 mapleThe food was tasty and nice cooked but nothing special. Although when we finished and pay our check the waiter forced us to pay him tips with the worst attitude I have ever seen. I don't suggest anyone to go to this place again.
May 02 · ΙΑΚΩΒΟΣ KΑΛΛΙΑΚΜΑΝΗΣWalking through china town looking for a place to eat and this looked like a nice place to try.Went in and the restaurant was empty except for three or four Chinese families. As we were shown to our seats, a jug of cold water and some menus were placed down.Got a few minutes to look at the drinks menu before getting asked for our drinks ordered. We then had another 5 minutes before our food ordered, the chap was very patient with me as I destroyed the pronunciation of the dishes.Food arrived as each dish was ready, I don’t mind this as it means your food is fresh. The restaurant started to fill up more and more and by the time all of our dishes arrived the place was full of families.Food was lovely. Hot and tasty. Dumplings were lovely.Tables are cleared quickly but we didn’t feel rushed.
December 27 · Brian DwyerThis is one of the restaurants in Chinatown that takes credit cards which is a plus. The menu is rather weird, for example there are no hot appetizers that I could find and they do not even have egg rolls. The lunch prices are extremely affordable but on the weekends when the tourists are out in full force the menu is a bit on the high side. Portions are a little stingy and prices are a bit high when ordering off of the regular menu. They nickel and dime you on things, for example entrees do not come with white rice which costs $2 for a bowl. With the prices a bit high you would think they could throw in the bowl of rice. The food itself is pretty flavorful and better than your average run of the mill American-Chinese take out. The wait staff is fairly on top of things and even a bit friendly but the experience is a bit rushed as we had one employee constantly checking if we were done with things so he could take them away. All in all not a bad place to eat by any means.
