★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I love Hawksmoor, and the original for me will always be Spitalfields. I've been meaning to try the New York establishment ever since it opened but for one reason or another it didn't happen, until a Sunday afternoon in August 2025! As a Brit, that means a good roast dinner, and the first time I'd had one at a Hawksmoor and it did not disappoint! The beef was perfectly cooked, and tasted amazing! That signature Hawksmoor cooking method and taste! Top marks for seriously good food.
August 15 · Ryan AbramThis is a premier steak house with the original being in London. Our server was very attentive, knowledgeable and provided spot on recommendation’s. Top notch interior giving a high end old world vibe with style. The meat was delicious and on par with many other New York steak houses. Two must haves is the their signature old fashion drink and sticky toffee pudding desert. I would go back over and over and over again just for the desert. Yum!!!
August 25 · Antonio CaccavaleI just needed to write a review because Tiffany was such a wonderful server. My friend and I dined here for the first time on a Thursday night and she was so helpful and sweet. I loved her energy and I just wanted to give her the recognition she deserved 🙏 the food was absolutely delicious, I had the scallops, Nancy Wellington, and sticky toffee pudding and everything was an absolute hit. Only thing I’d ask for is for more ice cream with the sticky toffee pudding is a must.
August 15 · Shanjida KibriaAbsolutely fantastic experience and perfect for a date night or special occasion. The atmosphere was romantic and moody with low lighting and lush decor. You definitely feel like you’re at a high end establishment when you walk in.We had a reservation for a group of 4 and waited a minute before they sat us at our table. They staff was extremely polite and directed us to a high top table while we waited, however we did not have to wait long. The host brought us into the main dining room to our cozy booth and we were seated with menus shortly. Our waiter was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and provided detailed recommendations for our tastes. Our cocktails and wine were excellent. The food was delicious. I had the filet and it was absolutely fantastic, I still think about it. The Mac and cheese was also a standout, very rich and true comfort food. While I could not finish my food, I left very happy and full, with a delicious lunch for the next day!Definitely 5 stars for service because I let our waiter know privately that we were celebrating a friend and they kindly brought out a decorated dessert for him.I can’t wait to return for my next special occasion.
July 01 · Chris GMy first visit to this restaurant was on a Monday for a birthday dinner for a friend. The hosts were very welcoming. Upon entry they had me sit in the bar area until all my guests arrived. Ordered a cocktail and felt very relaxed. The atmosphere was a fantastic after work vibe. All the servers were warm and friendly.Once we were seated at the dinner table we were so engaged in conversation we didn't look at the menus and was not prepared when Vince asked us what we would like. BUT his drink recommendation was spot on. So much so that when 2 of us got a 2nd cocktail, we had to have what we called the "Vince Reco". LOL. JUST a Moscow mule with tequila and ginger beer. The mix was just perfect. All of our drinks were very good. Lemon drop with Tequila instead of vodka and a vodka martini. The appetizers were OMG so delicious. That pork belly was everything. The scallops were so flavorful and tender. The birthday girl got a free app of fried shrimp. The tartar sauce was a taste of perfection. I even asked if I could buy a bottle of it. We all got rib-eye cooked 3 different ways. All very good. But we were full after the appetizers. The service at this restaurant can be best described as family. This is how they made us feel for our dinner. We were treated like family. Vince took a minute to warm up but in the end we were all laughing it up and treated us with care and great customer service. Even the guests at the table next to us were super friendly.I HIGHLY recommend and would definitely come back. My rating is 4.5 not 4. Yelp you need to do 1/2 stars.
