Huong Vietnamese Restaurant Reviews
It’s been awhile since my last visit here. Grilled pork chop cut is pretty thin cut now, but still good. This place, Mi Li Cafe and GC Pho are the current top 3 in Columbus for some good Vietnamese cuisine, coincidentally they are all hole in the wall kind of places. If you don’t mind that, select dishes are good at these restaurants. Their Banh Tet with pork (New year cake) is made year round it appears and is pretty good here.
Jun 30, 2025 · Anh PhamCame during a huge lunch rush on a Saturday. My favorite Vietnamese place, brought my friend to try the cuisine for the first time and he's very impressed. We tried uncommon dishes and they hit!!The shrimp was grilled so well and the Vietnamese pork patty was so flavorful, those two were our favorites.Eating clean food after food poisoning has been a blessing during my recovery
Apr 21, 2025 · Sabrina LianVery authentic Vietnamese spot. Large portions and food was flavorful. Got the the rare beef and meatball pho, grilled pork bahn mi, spring rolls, shrimp noodle salad (that my husband randomly order because he cracks under pressure and didn't know what to get lol), and the pandan cake. Pho base was flavorful, good amount of proteins and vegs, even with carryout. Bahn MI was also pretty good, bread was crunchy but I thought the pate was underwhelming. The pandan cake, texturally was not what it's supposed to be even after following their reheating instructions (tried the air fryer and microwave to see if it was user error)... Very dense, when it's supposed to be chewy and sticky. I definitely would come back for the pho.
Aug 04, 2025 · Amy LamQuick Review:Honestly, such a gem to find since moving here. I love viet food🥲. SOLID southern style pho with a wide variety, well priced menu. The Bahn mi was also bomb, and will definitely try more fillings! Pro move is to get a Bahn mi, to eat with the pho. All the other apps/snacks were good add ons.Details:Atmosphere: Homey vibe with some 80s music in the background. Wouldn’t be surprised if someone’s kid was working the register.Service: you write down what you want on a server note pad. Might be weird for some, but I like it lol. The gentlemen serving us was so nice.Food:Pho Tai Nam *Overall Score (5/5) **Spicy Scale (0/5) unless you add jalapeños, Big Eater approved, clean flavor profile:Southern style pho has thinner noodles, with lots of toppings like beansprouts, Thai basil, jalapeños, and sauces. Everything cooked to perfection! Meat was tender, noodles were just right and the broth is sooooo soothing. Drank that jawn up at the end (not too salty). Only use sauce to dip meat in.Bahn Mi w Grilled Beef *Overall Score (4/5) **Spicy Scale (0/5) unless you add jalapeños, Big Eater approved:The sandwich is the size of my forearm. Comes with meat inside but all the toppings on the side. With that said you got to build your own sandwich. Fine with me, cuz I filled it up with all the jalapeños. Meat was flavorfully marinated. Pickled veg and toppings standard. The bread was soft and doesn’t cut up your mouth. Don’t want to impede stuffing this in my mouth. Peanut sauce was very savory.Cha Gio *Overall Score (4/5) **Spicy Scale (0/5):Super crispy and delicious filling. Good layering on the inside. My fiancé is very picky with fried spring rolls, and wanted me to give it 5/5 lolChao Tom *Overall Score (3/5) **Spicy Scale (0/5):The shrimp cakes are a nice snack. Soft, chewy, good grill flavor. Would definitely rather have as a vermicelli or rice dish rather than by itself. Jun 10, 2025 · Josh KangAbsolutely delicious Vietnamese food. The banh mi is perfect: large, warm, crusty baguette stuffed covered in butter and stuffed with al the right ingredients. They give the veggies on the side sk you can choose your own adventure. Pair it with their peanut sauce and you have an absolutely perfect sandwich. Salted lemonade is the real deal. Salty sour and justbthe right amount of sweetness to be addictive. Save some room for the dumpling dessert (chè trôi nưrờc). The ginger syrup is tops. If you are in Columbus make the trip, its worth it.
