Cary the manager, is friendly and she was attentive all the time in case we had questions, we did and she explained patiently.Troy the sushi chef gave us a fabulous Omakase experience. Each piece was delicious and he explained the ingredients for each one.We finished our lunch with excellent desserts.Overall a wonderful experience at an affordable price.

Diners are seated around a square counter, served on three sides by several sushi chefs who prepare a 90-minute dinner composed of one appetizer (raw oyster with ponzu and ikura), followed by 14 pieces and a handroll.The selection ranged from madai to three cuts of tuna (akami, chutoro, otoro), seared wagyu, uni handroll, and even offering some rarer fish from Japan like kinki and nodoguru (both rich and fatty), shimaaji, and kegani (hairy crab). While I found the uni portion in the handroll a bit skimpy, I was impressed that Jason, the sushi chef, brought out an entire hairy crab and expertly prepared a mini kegani don (hairy crab over rice) on the spot.The chefs and host were warm, personable, and generous -- offering complimentary pours of sake and engaging in friendly conversation. We will absolutely be returning and highly recommend the spot to anyone looking for a quality omakase experience on Broadway.

In addition to the usual fare there were interesting fish like threeline grunt, which I really enjoyed. There were also included luxuries that usually cost extra, like caviar/gold/uni on the toro/wagyu. Maybe the best part was the staff, who were attentive, friendly, and generous in a way you often only see at higher price points. Shout out to Cassie, ”Jason Lee“, and our chef for the fun night, and the free sake and ice cream. Wish it wasn’t by Times Square, but worth checking out in a city with way too many omakases
July 07 · Nivi SunI had the pleasure of visiting this place with my friends, and it truly was an unforgettable experience. The freshness and flavors of each omakase course were simply delightful. I especially loved the Hotate scallop, Sake Salmon, and the O Toro fatty tuna—they were incredibly memorable. I can't wait to return for the dinner menu! The Yuzu Sake was a lovely touch as well. The staff made us feel so welcomed; they were not only friendly but also had a great sense of humor, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Don't miss out on their dessert menu; it’s worth it!

So happy to see NYC food culture, especially in Times Square, this tourist area finally has much variety in terms of cuisines, quality, and authenticity.After spending many days with local cuisine, we are craving Asian food to fill and find balance for our Asian gastronomic stomach. Found Koete Omakase on Google Maps and tried it with my son on Sunday afternoon during our short trip to NYC after Boston. The fish at Koete Omakase is as fresh as in Japan and the presentation of each is an art with a nice balance of taste, design, and color. I am impressed and decided to go back again tonight before flying back to HK. If you crave for authentic Omakase, great service, friendly atmosphere with reasonable price, this is the place one must try!
