★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Love this place! The restaurant’s design is minimal and Mediterranean…so charming. It was our first time trying fine dining Lebanese and Egyptian cuisine, and the flavors and textures were exciting and new. Every dish was beautifully executed with distinctive spice blends. Our favorites were the lounge snack, molokhia, and beef cheek fattoush. Exactly the dining experience we were looking for!
August 16 · Ravisara LI believe this restaurant is hugely overrated and overpriced. The main reason for my feedback is the quality of the food. For a Michelin starred restaurant my expectation is at least good balance and execution in every dish and that was not the case. The salad for instance was too sour. The farro and lentil polenta was too salty. The caviar addition to the appetizer seemed unnecessary - it was lost with the rest of the flavors.Desserts were truly great. We loved them. Wine and the main courses were also great. The whole story around the republic of Venice seems forced. All the goodies - petite fours , courtesy teas , nicely printed menus and matching paper bags seem like a copy of other fancy 3 star restaurants - they would be a nice touch if the food were great.500 dollars per head is an outrageously high price for food and an experience that in our view doesn’t even merit a single Michelin star. The sister restaurant Rosie Canonball gives a better experience and value.
March 26 · Raúl CambaThey set the stage with the lounge while you are waiting for your table. Every server is well trained on the chef's vision. They were very attentive. The food was interesting and good. I LOVE the wagyu- the best meal in my life! They were so sweet to prepare a drink for me upon arrival and my husband loved how they reached out earlier to ask how to make the night special. A wonderful culinary experience!
May 11 · Judy NelluvelilThis restaurant is the reason I will go to the mats. As Houston as one of the best food cities in the country and world. The food was beautifully prepared. And each plate tasted amazing. The portion varied from light to small. The entire service staff from the moment we arrived. Till the time we left was welcoming, informative and professional. The atmosphere is tasteful but themed to meet creative direction of the menu. This is highly priced fine dining. Which March delivers on in ALL aspects. Our Evening:March was highly recommend through a friend. We easily made reservations for a Saturday early evening dining. This was for our 24th anniversary. And was the best gift we gave each other this year. Valet parking is right outside the door of the restaurant. They were busy. But took great care of us once our turn came. Inside we were greeted by a lovely hostess. Who gave us an intro welcome and how the evening would unfold. Then we took the stairs to the lounge. A elevator is also an option. We spent about 8-10mins in the lounge. For a small complimentary drink and second set of drinks we ordered. They suggested and made mocktails for myself. And a nice vodka cocktail for my wife. We arrived at March right at our reservation time. So did not spend along time in the lounge. I recommendarriving early to relax and enjoy the space. Once in the dining room. We overly enjoyed the 6 course set menu including dessert. There’s no way we could have finished the 9 with wine pairing. We never felt rushed or over looked. Everything was attended to and explained with enthusiasm. For any reason or occasion, I recommend March. Period.
June 22 · Kyle DavenportHighlight of the meal: the experience and service. I always feel a bit on edge going into a fine dining experience, and starting off in the lounge with a drink and snack makes you feel welcomed and at ease. This is followed up by a seamless transition to the dining room, with staff already familiar with your preferences, ready with jokes, kindness, and deep knowledge, to guide you through a wonderful dinner.Another highlight: small delights throughout. Your longe cocktail might come with a small surprise snack, you might leave dinner with a bonbon and a tin of tea leaves.Meal favorites: the pea risotto was texturally perfect, and the variety of bites you’d get made for a wonderful dish. The wagyu dish was prepared to perfection.Menu lowlights: the Venetian menu leans heavily fishy. It was a little tough to follow through on multiple courses in a row with eel, crab, cuttlefish etc flavors without enough respite with something more acidic or fatty. The portion sizes for the 9 course meal are LARGE - prepare to pace yourself so you don’t feel like you’re trudging through the end of the meal.Overall, very deserving of the star, and I can’t repeat enough how wonderful the ambiance, experience, and staff were. I think the menu was well thought out, and perhaps just leaned a little hard into flavors that aren’t my favorite.
