★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If you’re a big fan of Moody Tongue Sushi, you’ll also become an instant fan of Moody Tongue Pizza. We went hard on the fried goods but had no regrets. The crispy rice is some of the best I’ve ever had. We tried the Salmon and Negi Tori and went back for seconds. The Fish Karaage is fried to perfection - it’s extremely light and comes with a delicious wasabi aioli and fried potatoes. For our fried finale, we went with the Genovese pizza and good lord, I was sad when it ended. This location has an extensive beer list just like the others - the only difference is they do not have liquor. This location is also a bit more spacious than their West Village counterpart making it a bit easier to get a seat at the bar without a reservation.I’d highly recommend stopping here for a meal for an occasion.
April 27 · Deana BaconMoody Tongue Pizza is a MUST go. Love sushi in WV and this did not disappoint. Beer is always fab and love the glass presentation. Fried mozz was so crispy and delicious. Tomato carpaccio salad was so unique and hamachi crudo was extremely fresh. Loved the pizza so much and would come back just for that. Can’t wait to try more!
March 20 · Allie GoldCome on a summer weekend, sit in the street and have yourself a blast. The Caesar salad may be one of my favorites ever and we love a majority gluten free restaurant (though wish they would have things labeled)4 stars though because the pizza itself (we did the provolone one) and the cocktail list was pretty mid.
July 12 · Dave CapraRun, don’t walk. For real. Their Tokyo-Neapolitan style pizza is one of the best and most unique in NYC - not sure why all the review sites are sleeping on it (cough cough Infatuation*). Not to mention their beer list, all brewed by Moody Tongue is the only Michelin starred brewery… ONLY. So many interesting flavors. Our second time here and we will be back again. God bless.*As of June 28, 2025
June 28 · Dean KowalskiCame here for lunch on a Saturday and was welcomed by friendly and attentive staff throughout our meal.Rice cakes are a nice (albeit small) appetizer and the pizzas have a distinctive char in their crust, living up to the Tokyo-style billing. The Parmegano Reggiano may be a bit strong to some people's taste, but the margherita is very well made. The sesame salad pizza did not skimp on the "salad".Overall, a nice meal and will definitely come back
