In a city filled with countless Korean dining options, what makes Moono worth choosing? The answer lies in its unique balance of high-end quality and a genuinely inviting atmosphere. The restaurant distinguishes itself from the traditional and often more casual eateries in Koreatown by providing an elevated experience without being overly formal. While a review mentioned a negative experience with a specific dish, it is worth noting that the general consensus, and the overwhelming majority of feedback, is highly positive. Diners consistently praise the "beautifully executed dishes," the "exquisite" flavors, and the "wonderful" and "attentive" service.
The menu itself, curated by a Michelin-starred chef, offers an opportunity to taste a more refined and artistic take on Korean cuisine. Dishes like the spicy fried chicken and the galbi-jjim are repeatedly highlighted as must-try items. The concept of a prix-fixe menu, mentioned in a customer review, offers great value for the amount and quality of food, making the experience more accessible than a la carte dining might seem. The bar and drink program are also a significant draw, making it a great place to start your evening with a well-crafted cocktail. Ultimately, Moono is a place for those who appreciate the art of dining. It’s for a special date, catching up with an old friend, or introducing an out-of-town guest to a side of Korean cuisine they may not have experienced before. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The prix fixe meal is well priced considering the amount of food and beautifully executed dishes. Wonderful date spot, catch up with an old friend, or bringing an out of town guest. Highly recommend to anyone who’s lived or dined in Korea, all of the flavors are exquisite and I savored every bite.
July 31 · amy fortunatoThis is very nice place with some unique interior design, the place used to be some club or even church. The place serve very high end Korean food. As usual for this kind of place your order will be coming along with plenty of complimentary appetizers. Personally I liked a lot Tteokgalbi and their rice with uni was out of this world. Surprisingly dessert was completely not on the par with the main dishes. But the reason I gave them just 3 stars, is that me and my friend had a serious date with a toilet next day. I blame Korean pancakes, specifically skate, I think it wasn't fresh, as I was eating it I got very strong stench of ammonia.Serving not fresh seafood is unacceptable for such fine establishment.
August 12 · Alex SerebrovMy boyfriend and I had dinner here last night and it was absolutely phenomenal. The dining room is beautiful. We opted for the tasting menu with Sool pairings. The rice with Uni upgrade was so worth it. The cuddlefish was my favorite main, and the buckwheat ice cream was a delight. Everything was so delicious, but our server (name was pronounced like “golf”, not sure how to spell it) made the experience top notch. He service was impeccable, and he put us at ease throughout the meal, including at the end when we realized we were the last table left in the dining room. We will 100% be back.
August 14 · Caroline OliverFood was so good. I highly recommended 회무침 (had my chin). Also You must try 어복쟁반 (beef hotpot). This is only one place that I know of has this menu and you should eat with 평양냉면.Service from Jena was so professional and good. We really enjoyed the time. Thank you.
July 20 · Chris HongIt’s become one id my favorite Korean restaurants!Firstly, such beautiful interior and atmosphere!! The food is great as well. Highly recommend Galbi Jim - infused with flavor and proper texture. Mushroom sotbap with truffle is also really good. The serving size is great. Nice service as well. Will go again and try other items!
