Nubiani - Midtown East Introduce
New York City's dining scene is celebrated for its incredible variety, and for those in search of an exceptional culinary experience, few places deliver as memorably as Nubiani - Midtown East. This isn't just another Korean restaurant; it's an elevated Korean BBQ destination that seamlessly blends traditional flavors with a modern, upscale ambiance. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by a space that feels both wonderfully spacious and airy, a rarity for many Korean BBQ spots, ensuring a comfortable and non-smoky dining experience. The decor is sleek and modern, accented with subtle, elegant Korean touches that create a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere. Nubiani is the perfect place for a special night out with a group, a memorable dinner with family, or an impressive meal with colleagues. It redefines the Korean BBQ experience, making it a refined and truly enjoyable affair.
The core of the Nubiani experience is, of course, the exceptional quality of its food. The menu is built around a selection of premium meats, which are the star of the show. Diners can choose from an array of high-quality cuts like "Boneless Short Ribs," "Marinated Short Ribs," and "Rib Eye," all of which are noted by customers for being "incredibly tasty" and "high quality." For those who want to sample a variety, the "Nubiani Package" and other meat packages offer a curated selection of some of the best grilled beef and pork. One of the most unique and appreciated features of the restaurant is the dedicated table-side grilling service. A review highlights this as a "thoughtful touch," noting that having a server grill the meat at the counter ensures everything is cooked to perfection. This allows diners to relax and enjoy their conversation while their food is expertly prepared right in front of them.
Beyond the impressive meat selection, Nubiani offers a wide range of authentic and flavorful Korean dishes that round out the meal. Starters include classics like "Japchae" and "Shrimp Chive Pancake," both of which are perfect for sharing. The menu also features comforting and traditional stews such as "Kimchi Stew" and "Soybean Paste Stew," which a customer review praises as being "thoroughly enjoyed." Other main courses like the "Grilled Black Cod" and "Abalone Kettle Hot Pot Rice" provide excellent alternatives for those who want to explore beyond the grill. The restaurant also provides complimentary side dishes (banchan) and rice, which are a hallmark of authentic Korean dining. A customer review mentions being "so glad" they tried the "complimentary egg soufflé," underscoring the restaurant's commitment to thoughtful extras that enhance the dining experience.
Nubiani's commitment to excellence extends to its service and amenities. The staff is consistently described as "friendly" and the service as "excellent," which contributes to a "thoroughly enjoyable evening." The restaurant is well-equipped to handle groups, offering private dining rooms that are perfect for larger parties or special events. This feature is particularly appreciated by customers who want a more intimate and personalized dining experience. The atmosphere is casual yet sophisticated, with an appeal that attracts a diverse crowd. The restaurant also has a full bar with an extensive selection of beverages, including a vast array of wines, beers, cocktails, hard liquors, and a fantastic selection of Korean Soju. This provides perfect pairings for the meal and caters to all tastes. The restaurant's policy of accepting reservations is a major convenience for planning, ensuring that diners can secure a table without a long wait, a detail appreciated by a customer who has "never had a problem as long as I arrived on time for my reservation."

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My niece knows me so well! She took me to this incredible Korean BBQ spot, and I'm so glad she did. From the moment we walked in, I was impressed by the modern decor with subtle, elegant Korean accents. The restaurant is wonderfully spacious and airy – a huge plus for a Korean BBQ place, as it meant no smoky haze! With a party of 10, we booked a private room, which made our dining experience even more special. What really stood out was having two dedicated servers grilling our meat right at our counter in the room. This was such a thoughtful touch and ensured everything was cooked perfectly. We were offered a complimentary egg soufflé, which was absolutely delicious. Although our first one unfortunately had some burnt eggshells, the staff were incredibly kind and promptly brought us a fresh, perfect replacement. Now, for the main event: the food! Every single cut of grilled beef and pork was incredibly tasty – truly high quality and flavorful. We also thoroughly enjoyed the grilled cod, Japchae, Kimchi soup, and soybean paste soup. And it's always a nice bonus when rice is complimentary.Overall, the service was excellent and contributed to a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I really loved everything about this restaurant and highly recommend it for anyone craving an authentic and elevated Korean BBQ experience!
June 09 · Tiaranad GerjarusakThis is my favorite Korean BBQ place in New York. The meat is delicious, and the side dishes are really tasty too. The staff are always friendly, and the service is great every time I go.Some reviews talk about dining time, but I’ve never had a problem as long as I arrived on time for my reservation. If you want to enjoy good Korean BBQ, you should definitely try this place!
July 12 · Jane LeeWow. Came here with dinner with two friends and sat at the counter. Higher end korean bbq. The Nubiani meat combo was more than enough for 3 people. Great quality meats cooked expertly - all 5 of them. Service was impeccable. The banchan was tasty and plentiful - didn’t need to ask for refills. Come here for a great meal or a special occasion - like a dinner with two of your besties.Recommended.
July 02 · Jason EngI had a great experience at Nubiani with a friend! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome. Our server handled everything with such care — they even grilled the meat for us perfectly, which made the meal extra enjoyable. What stood out most was the level of service. They were always nearby without being intrusive, making sure we had enough banchan, checking in throughout the meal, and even surprising us with ice cream at the end — such a thoughtful detail. The atmosphere was also a highlight. The space felt open and well-ventilated, which made for a much more comfortable Korean BBQ experience — no smoke clouding the room!I think this is my fav K-BBQ place in New York now!😍
June 16 · MINJU KIMBanchan was sooo yummy and fresh, and each had a flavor distinct from its traditional flavor in a good way. I never knew japchae could be this good — it was buttery?? My fav side was the steamed egg, so fluffy with notes of sesame. Kimchi stew was solid but very tomato-ey which I didn’t love.I quickly lost track of the meat, but the crowd pleasers were the ribeye and pork belly. Baekjeong meat quality is lowkey better but nubiani’s excellent sides/apps made up for the difference. Complimentary ice cream was topped with citron. So good.
