★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great vibe, music, atmosphere and service!!I had an amazing experience at Omar’s Kitchen & Rum Bar! The jerk salmon was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spice—smoky, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The salmon tacos were just as impressive—fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. Great cocktails, warm atmosphere, and friendly service made the whole night even better. I’ll definitely be back!
August 25 · Solveig ErvikEverything was amazing! Flavor was there!! We got the jerk bbq glazed lamb and the coconut curry oxtail. We got the frozen rum punch and it was dangerously good. Great staff and nice ambiance. Music was great and the interior was cute!
June 12 · JoannaI was too lazy to go to the Bronx for Caribbean food. So I googled local restaurants near me. Omar’s Kitchen popped up. I walked 9 minutes and arrived at Omar’s. I’m 35, and I’ve had a lot of eschovich fish in my lifetime. But this time was different. So many flavors were in the fish. If Heaven had fish, I highly doubt that they could season it as good as Mr.Omar. I nearly fainted when I bit into my food. It was soooooo delicious. Next time I’ll have a container of Narcan on standby; in the event I do faint from the scrumptious, mouth watering, orgasmic flavors of this fish.
July 06 · KatelynI have visited Omar’s Kitchen numerous times and have always enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere, exceptional service, and delicious Caribbean cuisine. The lively ambiance and popularity of the restaurant often meant waiting nearly two hours for a table, but it was always worth it. I’ve even shared my enthusiasm with colleagues from New Jersey, proudly recommending Omar’s as a must-visit destination for authentic Caribbean food.Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a disappointment. After spending $170 on two dinners, we were served under-seasoned oxtail, soggy rice, and watered-down rum punch. I was not only surprised but also embarrassed, especially after having spoken so highly of the restaurant to my guests. It saddens me to see such a promising and celebrated establishment fall short of the standards it once upheld. I hope this feedback is received constructively and inspires a return to the quality and excellence that initially made Omar’s Kitchen such a standout. I genuinely look forward to returning for the vibrant, flavorful experience I—and many others—have come to love.
April 05 · Rochelle DonaldsonWent to this spot to grab a bite and play catch up with a long time friend, and I’d come back another day just for their jerk wings & sorrel mimosa 10/10. I also had the tamarind salmon tacos , which was an 7.5/10 for me only because the mango chow on the tacos were too sweet for me.Our server Amanda was super attentive and guided me through the menu as a first time comer. The music was vibey and the ambiance of the restaurant felt homey. So if the place sounds like a place you’d visit , Check it out!!
