Pardon My Cheesesteak Introduce
For residents of Worthington, Ohio, and the surrounding Central Ohio area, the modern dining landscape has introduced a new and convenient way to enjoy your favorite foods: ghost kitchens. Pardon My Cheesesteak is a prime example of this model, offering a focused menu of classic and creative cheesesteaks, loaded fries, and more, all available for delivery or takeout. While it doesn't have a traditional storefront where you can sit down and eat, it has established a reputation for serving up hearty, flavorful sandwiches that can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home. The brand has garnered a following for its substantial portions and the quality of its key ingredients, making it a viable option for a satisfying meal. However, it's a unique type of restaurant that requires a bit of understanding before you place an order, especially for those with specific dietary needs or expectations about a traditional dining experience.
This article aims to provide a clear, engaging, and informative guide to Pardon My Cheesesteak, helping local users navigate this unique restaurant concept. We will cover the specific items that have earned them positive feedback, such as their "original foot long" cheesesteak and their generously sized fries. We will also address the critical aspect of their operation as a "ghost kitchen," which is an important detail for customers to be aware of, particularly regarding food allergies. By presenting a balanced view that includes both the praise for their delicious food and the occasional concerns about order accuracy and allergens, this guide will help you make an informed decision. For Worthington residents who are looking for a new and convenient option for lunch or dinner, understanding the nuances of a ghost kitchen like Pardon My Cheesesteak is key to a great experience.
A crucial detail for anyone in the Worthington area is the location and operational model of Pardon My Cheesesteak. The provided address is 60 E Wilson Bridge Rd, Worthington, OH 43085, USA. It is important to know that this is a "ghost kitchen," meaning it operates out of the same physical location as another restaurant, which in this case is an Italian restaurant. This business model is centered on delivery and takeout, so customers do not typically enter a branded storefront to pick up their food. This is a vital piece of information, as a customer review noted, to avoid confusion and potential issues. For those with allergies, this is particularly important, as the food may be prepared in a shared kitchen space where other allergens, such as shrimp, are also present. The accessibility of this location, therefore, is primarily through third-party delivery services, which a customer noted was still effective at getting food to them while it was "still hot." The location is well-situated for delivery to a wide radius in Worthington and the surrounding area, but it's essential to manage your expectations regarding a traditional pickup experience. The best way to access their service is by using a food delivery app, which handles the logistics of getting the food from the kitchen to your door.
Pardon My Cheesesteak offers a focused menu centered around its signature sandwiches and sides. Here is a look at the services and popular items available:
- Variety of Cheesesteaks: The menu features a selection of cheesesteak sandwiches, including the original foot-long with steak, melted provolone, cheese sauce, and caramelized onions. They also offer creative variations like the Chipotle Cheesesteak and the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak, which a customer noted had a great taste. The sandwiches are praised for their soft bread, lack of gristle, and generous amount of meat.
- Substantial Fries: The fries are a standout item, often noted for their large portion sizes. A reviewer mentioned receiving a "literal bucket" of fries that could "serve 2-3," and the "seasoned mushies" (mushrooms) added to the fries were described as "the star" of the meal. This makes it a great value for a group or a very hungry individual.
- Chicken-Based Options: In addition to the classic steak, Pardon My Cheesesteak offers several chicken-based cheesesteaks and chicken tenders. This provides a good alternative for those who prefer poultry over red meat, with options like the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak and Chicken Bacon Ranch Cheesesteak.
- Delivery-Focused Service: The primary service model is delivery through third-party apps. This is the most convenient way to enjoy their food, as it is designed for a seamless, at-home dining experience. The food is often delivered hot and ready to eat, as noted by a positive customer review.
- Customization Options: Customers can customize their orders with additions like mushrooms or different sauces. One reviewer suggested future additions like a "loaded veggie version" and individual additions for fries, indicating a desire for more customization options, which is a common trend in ghost kitchens.
Pardon My Cheesesteak has a number of key features and highlights that make it a notable option for locals, but it also has important details that customers should be aware of. These are the elements that define the experience:
- High-Quality Cheesesteaks: Customers consistently praise the quality of the cheesesteaks, noting the tender steak, soft bread, and generous fillings. The fact that the food is still hot after a third-party delivery is a testament to the kitchen’s efficiency and packaging. This is a major highlight for a delivery-focused business.
- Ghost Kitchen Model: The ghost kitchen model is a defining feature. While it offers a convenient and low-overhead way for the business to operate, it has its challenges. As a customer review pointed out, the lack of a visible storefront and the shared kitchen space with an Italian restaurant can be confusing and poses a serious risk for customers with allergies, such as a shrimp allergy. This is a critical piece of information for the public.
- Substantial Portion Sizes: The large portion of fries, described as a "literal bucket," is a significant highlight for many customers. This generous serving size makes it a great value and a good option for sharing, which is perfect for a family meal or a gathering with friends.
- Areas for Improvement: Customer feedback also points to areas where the business could improve. Issues with order accuracy, such as missing sauces on a sandwich, and inconsistencies in portion sizes, are mentioned. Another valid point was the suggestion to improve packaging to prevent paper from sticking to the food. The high cost relative to the sandwich size was also a point of concern for a customer, indicating a need for consistent quality to justify the price.
- Positive and Negative Feedback: The reviews provide a clear picture of a place that can deliver a "highly recommend" experience but also has the potential for a "do not recommend" one. This makes it a business with a high-reward, high-risk dynamic, where a great meal is excellent but a poor one can be frustrating, especially given the ghost kitchen model. The balance of feedback is important for any local to consider.
For those in the Worthington area who want to try Pardon My Cheesesteak, the contact information is important to have on hand. The physical address is 60 E Wilson Bridge Rd, Worthington, OH 43085, USA. As a ghost kitchen, this location serves as the hub for food preparation and distribution. For phone inquiries, the contact number is (888) 444-0934, which is also available as a mobile number at +1 888-444-0934. Given that this is a ghost kitchen that primarily operates through third-party delivery services, the phone number is likely a general customer service line for the brand itself rather than a direct line to the kitchen. This is a good piece of information to be aware of when you're trying to get in touch with them. Using a delivery app for ordering is the most straightforward and recommended way to interact with this business.
In conclusion, Pardon My Cheesesteak is a suitable option for Worthington and Central Ohio locals who understand and appreciate the unique format of a ghost kitchen. Its appeal lies in its focus on delivering high-quality, flavorful cheesesteaks and substantial sides like their bucket of fries. For a casual, at-home meal, the convenience and quality of the food can be excellent, as noted by positive reviews. However, it is crucial for locals to be aware of its operational model, particularly the shared kitchen space, which is a vital consideration for those with food allergies. The service model of delivery and takeout, while convenient, means there is no traditional dine-in experience, and communication may be different from a conventional restaurant. For the right customer—one who is looking for a satisfying, hearty sandwich delivered right to their door and is comfortable with the ghost kitchen model—Pardon My Cheesesteak can be an excellent and worthwhile choice. It's a modern solution for a classic craving, perfectly adapted for the busy lifestyle of many in our community.

Pardon My Cheesesteak Reviews
Really nice sandwich. I ordered the original foot long & added mushrooms. husband got the chipotle. Soft bread and lots of steak. No gristle at all. 2 cheeses work well for texture & flavor. Fries are a literal bucket to serve 2-3, really. Seasoned mushies were the star. We had it delivered 3rd party and it was still hot. Not cheap, but worth every cent.Ended up eating a bit of paper-cheese. Maybe wrap in foil or thicker paper?Would love to see a loaded veggie version & individual additions for the fries on the menu in the future.Highly recommend!
Sep 25, 2022 · CoalMnrs DotrBEWARE if you have ALLERGIES!!! This is a ghost kitchen inside an Italian restaurant. However you do not get informed of this until you have paid and get your pickup instructions. My daughter was unable to eat her food because it is cooked in a kitchen where shrimp is also cooked. She could have literally died if she had taken even one bite. The rest of us did eat the meals…however the Chipotle and Buffalo sandwiches had no sauce. The sandwiches are small, but did taste fine for cheesesteaks. But over $80 to feed 4 adults and one 3 yr old, and not get what we ordered, was ridiculous for the quantity received.DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
Jun 29, 2024 · Donna CabezaAnderson***Allergy Alert***To be fair to this restaurant my experience is likely unique due to an allergy I have. I ordered the food online for pick up. I saw nowhere on the site that said that this was a ghost kitchen. Once the order was already placed there was a small line that stated that this restaurant is located inside of Buca Di Beppo. I have a severe shellfish allergy meaning I cannot eat anywhere shellfish is cooked. Upon learning that the food was going to be cooked in a kitchen in an Italian restaurant, I attempted to call pardon my cheesesteak, but the number listed online does not actually reach the restaurant. I ended up calling Buca do Beppo and being told that there is indeed shrimp being cooked near the food from pardon my cheesesteak. I immediately decided I was not going to be able to eat the food, but wanted the rest of my party to be able to eat dinner. I did receive a callback from, someone working at pardon my cheesesteak letting me know that not only is the food cooked near shellfish but actually in the same oil (fries and chicken tenders) as shellfish. If I had eaten a single bite from any of this food, I would’ve gone into instant anaphylaxis and could have literally died. My family ended up having to eat food and then immediately wash hands and sanitize my hotel room because the food they were eating was not safe for me to even breathe near. We ordered five meals that ended up costing more than $80 and two of the sandwiches were not cooked correctly, the store was apparently out of sauces?Overall, this was an awful experience. I obviously won’t be back because the food would literally kill me, but I also caution people who Want their food the way that they order it. I will say that everyone else in my family said the food tasted OK even if it wasn’t what they ordered.Lastly, I would like to caution pardon my cheesesteak on the liability of cooking in a restaurant with one of the top five food allergens and not making it clear that there is definite cross-contamination. I’m not a lawyer and I’m not sure what liability the restaurant would have, but even morally maybe there should be a warning clearly posted.
Jun 29, 2024 · Amanda AndersonI ordered two subs made them both meals. I wanted additional toppings added, and I paid for them only Got one full meal 1/2 meal none of the extra toppings I paid for we’re on the subs honestly couldn’t think of a worse place to get a sub for $46 I got a place that I go to normally that charges $10 for a full foot long sub and they’re 10 times better than you you guys charge $28 to my credit card and your subs are toxic waste that shouldn’t even be consumed by mankind so yeah I wanna refund literally couldn’t eat it if you want to get sick go ahead and eat this food
Jun 29, 2024 · Mat POrdered a six inch cheesesteak - not only was it incredibly shorter than six inches, but the meat was pure gristle. It was disgusting, I had to call them to get a refund, bit into it right in the parking lot and gave it the benefit of the doubt for another bite. I had to continuously pick out all of the meat out of my mouth after biting into its hard gross texture. It almost seems like they gave me the trimmings of meat used in other dishes, this being a ghost kitchen.
