★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My mother-in-law and nephew got me a gift card from here for my birthday because they know how much I love eating here! I always order takeout and never had the chance to dine in the restaurant. My family and I finally went out on a late Wednesday afternoon and we were warmly welcomed by Rachel. As we sat down, we immediately ordered the Appetizer sampler that had a little but of every appetizer on the menu. The lumpia was fresh, chicken fritters were tasty and the chicharron was very meaty. Shortly after, we ordered our entrees. We initially wanted the Barkada box which we thought was a great deal for sharing. But we opted to order several entrees and shared everything family style. Up next was the chicken adobo, Lechon, Pancit Bam-i, and. Bangus (milkfish). When I tell you, EVERYTHING TOUCHED MY SOUL!!! You can tell that every dish was put together with love. From the taste to the presentation, it was amazing. To end our visit, we couldn’t leave without the star of the show, the Halo Halo. This dessert always takes be back home to the Philippines. Rachel took some time to chat with us and share each other’s backgrounds. It’s amazing how Filipino food is impacting the food scene and we will continue to support Patok by Rach as the food is great and perfect portion and value for the money. If you haven’t tried Filipino food yet, this place is a great way to get introduced!
April 17 · Ken MartinezReally good food!Tried Patok by Rach in Inwood and honestly, it hits the spot if you're craving Filipino food. The lechon kawali was super crispy and juicy, just how it should be. Loved the pork lumpia too — perfectly crunchy and flavorful.Place has a chill vibe, very homey. Staff was nice!!! Overall, really good spot for comfort food that feels close to home. Will definitely be back.
April 23 · Wandering HungerWe had the most wonderful mothers day kamayan. When we arrived the table was set and was so gorgeous. The food was amazing and bursting with flavor. They were wonderfully attentive and warm. Would absolutely go back a thousand times. An absolute gem of a restaurant. SALAMAT!
May 11 · Eddie ChangThe food is atrocious!!! Food this bad should not even be served. Anyone could be severely sick by this. They should be ashamed of themselves!!! I called and the manager didn’t want to refund me because it was through Uber eats. This place is horrific. To make matters worse there was a piece of hard plastic sticking out from one of the pieces of chicken. This is a disgrace!!! The manager wasn’t even apologetic, instead, she took a deep breath while I was speaking as if I was the issue. The chicken was dry, hard, and burnt. The veggie rolls were dark brown and black on the ends and were soaked in oil. The bao buns were made with the same old, burnt, hard, chicken. The pictures in the uber app are completely different and the chicken is supposed to be different for the bao buns and saucy. I’m mortified and I hope no one else gets sick eating there. I mentioned what occurred to a neighbor of mine and it so happens they got sick from eating there once. I’m going on all social media channels for this because this is unfair. People work hard for their money and no one wants to get food poisoning!!! That place will close down soon. I give it months! The pictures do no justice because the food looks much worse and darker in person.
April 02 · Speak up!Absolutely lovely service and delicious food! They made room for our group as a walk-in on a busy night. The way they prepare pork there genuinely changed my outlook on the meat entirely. I'm excited to try them again! My one and only complaint is that the chairs in the restaurant are quite uncomfortable; it was difficult to sit on them for extended periods as a larger patron.Beyond that, however, everything was delicious and it made for a delightful birthday dinner. Thank you!!
