★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Your typical Irish Pub/Sports Bar, it's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. Service is decent, but not anything to really get excited about, and it can get a big crowded in the front when Hunter students stop by. The burgers are tasty, especially the BLT. Be aware that you'll probably have no phone service if you go to the back. Overall, a nice place to grab a drink, especially since there aren't a ton of bars in the area.
January 25 · Zia Al-Khalil OttPhoenix is good as a sports bar, but fails as anything else. The staff is super unfriendly to the point of belligerence and disappears for hours. We ended up having to go to the bar for drink and food orders several times. The food is also not great. The wings, while large, were just doused in red hot sauce, leaving them soggy and way too vinegary. The nachos were huge and looked a bit better. Beer selection was average, but nothing special and slightly disappointing for NYC. The only non major brand offered was Lagunitas which isn't exactly a tiny craft shoppe these days. The others were all domestic staples that were not at all exciting. I guess it is supposed to be a traditional Irish pub which is supposed to allow for a rougher atmosphere, but I just found it slightly dirty and sticky. The patrons are not people you'd want to associate with for the most part and a few verbal scuffles broke out toward the end of the night. There are better bars in the area.
November 07 · Tyler LundGreat Happy Hours, Great Wings(HUGE BTW), Next to a cheap parking garage. Pool table and outside patio are a bonus. Bartenders are always great, Waitresses can be a hit or miss. This was one of my stops during my bachelorette party, The girls working that night paid the bar drunk to molest me via lap dance, good times..good times.Guy below me couldn't sound anymore like a pompous douche.
October 14 · Madelaine RhodeCame to watch Iceland make history against France (albeit in a losing effort). Brian, the bartender, was phenomenal. The food, drink, and atmosphere were great.
July 03 · Kevin WolfeWhen I was a newby to nyc I was like a fish out of water. I saw the mets neon sign in the window I had to go in, all in all its a great place, the service is outstanding and (whateverthey did to the menue ) is magnificent.
