★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If escaping to Japan to find their hidden gems from shows like Midnight Diner on Netflix? This place is that. From the food, the service and atmosphere, I tend to like to sit at the bar so I can have a front row seat on a good adventure. From the chef to the waitstaff I felt welcome. Definitely a must go to spot for authentic Japanese bar food with a focus on quality and presentation! #Japan #izakaya #goodfood
April 26 · Brian AustinAmazing hakata ramen and small plates. Good vibes.Pork broth is rich, chef fromJapan who used to have a ramen shop in fukuoka.Get the chicken nanban and hakata ramen. Shishito chips, spicy popcorn shrimp and wings great too.
April 21 · Andrew Marshalla cute place for izakaya style small dishes. the menu is quite small and so is inside.the soft shell crab special was pretty good, but nothing special. i’d say opt for the tako obo (octopus pancake) or handrolls over it. you do have the option to have the crab in a handroll, though we didn’t get it.the chicken nanban was also good, but i wish the sauce was on the side and not poured over.the tako obo was my favorite. the portions are all on the smaller side and the pancake wasn’t too large either.
January 11 · Genevieve DunnWow, I can’t believe I never came earlier. This is probably the most underrated place in the neighborhood.- Hakata ramen: a must get if you like ramen. They have the creamiest broth and perfectly cooked noodles.- Tofu as a starter: it was super fresh. Who knew something as simple as tofu with soy sauce, yuzu kochu, and scallions was a flavor bomb!
July 03 · Yimei MiaoAbsolutely the BEST ramen ever. Broth is amazingly flavorful. Noodles delicious. They’re so particular about the ramen than they will not make it if the chef is on vacation or if they can’t import the noodles from Japan.Soft shell crab also very good. Freshly made gyoza.Nice unassuming place with lots of small tables and counter top seating.
