★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Another good restaurant under Hand Hospitality. Went for dinner for the first time and the food was very good. I liked most of the items we ordered. My first time trying raw marinated crabs and they were very tasty! Spices in the marinade were well balanced and the crab meat was fresh and creamy. The scallop rice was also very good. The rice cake dish was rich as expected so careful if you don’t like something heavy. I also enjoyed the spice squid because it came with cheesed barley rice. Only disappointment was the clam soup. The clams were huge but the meats were hard to eat. Overall good place to get Korean comfort food and friendly service, will come back.
May 27 · Kyle LiuThis spot is great to go with a group of friends! Their portions are large, so come hungry. Prices are extremely fair. Some must gets are the rose tteokbokki, marinated crab with cold noodles, and scallop rice! It gets a little messy to eat, so I suggest not wearing white. Overall, it was flavorful, but a little too greasy. With some dishes, I could see the oil separating from the sauces. Also, their drinks taste strong.I enjoyed their separated rooms, away from the main dining room, but it's a little too dark in a muddy way.
August 02 · Nicole NgSeoul Salon NYC is a charming spot with a unique vibe that leaves you feeling a bit intrigued. The food is solid, though not exactly fireworks for your taste buds. We started with the scallops over rice, which were fresh, but could have used a little more zing to really stand out. The cuttlefish was fresh as well, but it felt like it was missing a bit of seasoning to elevate it. The pork hoc was the highlight of the meal; flavorful and satisfying, though still not quite packing the punch I was hoping for.The restaurant has a nice ambiance, but there's a feeling that it could be a bit more original in its offerings. The pricing seems a little on the higher side for what you get, but it's definitely not a bad experience. My main suggestion would be for the service to be a bit warmer; it would really help make the meal feel more welcoming. Overall, Seoul Salon is a pleasant place to dine, though it leaves you hoping for a little more excitement on the plate and in the atmosphere.
May 19 · KaiGreat portions, reasonable price, and unique flavors in a cool, sleek setting. Service was attentive. The tteokbokki had a bouncy bite, accompanied with basil and cheese that imparted a creamy texture and umami flavor. I enjoyed the refreshing crunch of the pine salad to cut the richness of the tteokbokki and fried chicken. The fried chicken was wonderful. Extra crispy while retaining the chicken’s moisture. A perfect meal.
April 20 · Jacky ZhangSeoul Salon is such a trendy and aesthetic restaurant and the food didn't disappoint. I'd definitely recommend making reservations because it was all packed for a Thursday dinner. To start the meal, they give this crispy ramen cracker snack with a hot sauce drizzled on top and it was so nostalgic to the snacks I used to eat when I was younger. The whole menu looked so delicious, but I ended up trying the Soy Scallop with Gim Rice, Rose Tteokbokki with Gimmari, and the Seoul Salon Fried Chicken. The soy scallops were fresh and full of flavor. The Gim rice paired perfectly with the scallops as well. The Rose tteokbokki reminded me of eating a margherita pizza because of the cheese and basil toppings with the sauce. Iloved the Gimmari that came with the dish; it was nicely fried and dipping it into the sauce was perfection. The fried chicken took me by surprise. The batter was so crispy and airy and the chicken was so juicy and flavorful. The sauce had a good spice kick and it was only drizzled lightly on half of the chicken, so none of the chicken got soggy and it's great for people who can't handle the spice. Overall had a great experience at Seoul Salon. I would come back again and again.
