★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This place is absolutely incredible, my favorite Chinese in Manhattan. I come here with my best friend who is Chinese and we both enjoy it so much. The owner is so kind and the hospitality is incredible. I am obsessed with the XO shrimp and surprisingly they have incredible wine list too. Some special old amazing red wines
June 01 · laurin cabralissaThis restaurant, established in 1965, was recommended by a friend, so we decided to visit together. My friend shared fond childhood memories of dining here with their parents. It's a traditional dim sum restaurant, and each dish feels quite classic. On the positive side, it’s authentic; on the downside, it might feel a bit too old-fashioned.Still, it's nice to see a place preserving such a legacy.
December 30 · Eui Sun ChungFascinating place.Let me set the scene. My partner, on his way back from the restroom was thanked for his service and the good meal as well-meaning white patrons exited to their operas and orchestras. Simply because he was Asian.Be wary of the friend who suggests such a place.Tawdry is the quintessential word to describe the decor. And the food is middling. I don’t remember a single dish two days later. Minimal taste and flavor. And the prices. Yikes! You can get Michelin meals on a similar budget.
February 20 · Jakob W. PlummerThis restaurant needs to (and will) and in my opinion needs to go out of business.I’ve never been in such a huge restaurant and been the only one in it. Clearly, every one in all of NYC already had figured out this place was a complete joke and rip off. After ordering two main dishes (beef and chicken entrees) the food came out exactly 4 minutes after we ordered it. There was simply no way this could have been prepared to order. Food was tasteless and most of the chicken dish was peanuts. The entrees were $46 and $52 extremely expensive too. We seriously considered leaving immediately but I regretfully chose to stay to avoid wasting $150. I should have left and cut my losses.Do not under any circumstances eat at this restaurant.
July 13 · Robert TomczakWent here for dinner recently. It’s an upscale Chinese food restaurant on the Upper West Side. It is very spacious and nicely decorated. There are many servers and they are all very attentive. The clientele is a lot of older people and families. We started off with soup dumplings and fried shrimp balls which were both delicious. We also got Chinese broccoli, crispy beef, General Tso’s chicken, walnut shrimp, fried rice and they brought another vegetable dish out to us. Everything was really good. Portions were a good size. Good for sharing. Definitely the type of place to go to on a special occasion with a group. Check it out.
