Snack Box Introduce
In the heart of Times Square, where the pace is fast and the options are endless, finding a genuine, high-quality bite can feel like a challenge. Snack Box, however, stands out from the crowd, offering a surprising and delightful array of American classics with a gourmet twist. This isn't your typical street vendor; it's a carefully curated spot designed for the discerning New Yorker and the hungry tourist alike.
Snack Box is a beacon of authentic American comfort food, elevated by partnerships with local, celebrated brands. It's a place where you can grab a quick, satisfying meal without compromising on taste or quality. Whether you're craving a classic hot dog, a fresh lobster roll, or a decadent doughnut, this spot has something to make your day in Midtown a little more delicious.
The location is a key part of the Snack Box experience. Situated on 46th Street, near W 47th St in New York, NY 10036, USA, the spot is right in the bustling epicenter of Times Square. It's perfectly positioned for a quick refuel during a day of sightseeing, a pre-theater snack, or a late-night bite after a show. One review notes it's located "right in the middle of Times Square," making it incredibly easy to find.
The convenience of its location is what you're truly paying for—a quick, well-made meal without having to venture far from the action. Being a food kiosk in a high-traffic area, accessibility is by foot, and its proximity to major subway lines serving Times Square and Broadway makes it a breeze to get to from anywhere in the city. Its "grab-and-go" nature is perfectly suited to the fast pace of New York, providing a simple and efficient way to satisfy your cravings.
As a quick-service establishment, Snack Box focuses on two primary service options to best accommodate its high-traffic location.
Takeout: The core of Snack Box's business is its takeout model. It's designed for efficiency, allowing customers to walk up, place an order, and receive their food quickly. This is ideal for those who want to grab a bite to eat on the go and continue exploring the city.
Dine-in: While the space is not a traditional sit-down restaurant, the location offers seating right in front of Times Square. This provides a unique "dine-in" experience where you can enjoy your food with one of the most famous backdrops in the world. It’s a perfect spot to people-watch and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of the city.
Snack Box stands out from other food vendors in the area due to its commitment to quality and unique offerings.
Gourmet Hot Dogs and Fresh Lobster: This isn't a place that serves "rubbish" hot dogs, as one reviewer put it. The hot dogs are described as "decent warm" and "well presented," a testament to their quality. They also offer a lobster roll, a fresh and delicious alternative to classic street food. The gourmet toppings, including cucumber, pineapple, and green tomato relish, elevate the experience.
Partnerships with Local Icons: Snack Box showcases a true taste of New York with its partnerships. They feature pretzels from Sigmunds and doughnuts from Doughnut Plant, both well-regarded New York institutions. This ensures a high-quality product that resonates with local foodies.
Diverse Menu Beyond the Mainstays: While hot dogs are a highlight, the menu is surprisingly varied. It includes bratwurst, chorizo, and kielbasa, catering to different tastes. The variety extends to sweet treats and beverages, with a range of doughnuts and gourmet milkshakes like Toasted Marshmallow and Strawberry Balsamic.
High-Quality Coffee and Beverages: For coffee lovers, Snack Box offers a range of hot and cold beverages featuring La Colombe coffee and espresso beans. This is a significant highlight, as it provides a much-needed quality caffeine fix in a convenient location.
Prime Location and Ambiance: The atmosphere is casual, and the location provides an energetic, vibrant backdrop. As one customer noted, you're "paying for the location," which includes the seating right in front of Times Square. It's a great spot for a quick, authentic New York experience.
As a food kiosk, Snack Box operates primarily as a walk-up service. The provided information lists its location but not a specific phone number for public inquiries, which is typical for this type of business.

When you stop by Snack Box, you're presented with a range of excellent options that are perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. The Hot Dogs are a clear standout. As one reviewer mentioned, they are a step above the usual fare and are well worth the price for the quality and convenience. The Chili Dog is a classic choice, and for those feeling adventurous, the Bratwurst, Chorizo, or Kielbasa are great alternatives.
For something different, the Lobster Roll is a highly recommended choice, offering a fresh, delicious seafood option. The gourmet toppings for the hot dogs are a key feature and allow you to customize your meal.
On the sweet side, the Doughnut Plant Doughnuts are a must-try. With flavors like Peanut Butter Glaze & Blackberry Jam and Tres Leches Cake, these are a gourmet treat that stands out. The Milkshakes are also a popular choice, with unique flavors like Toasted Marshmallow and Strawberry Balsamic that are perfect for a hot day or a sweet indulgence.
And of course, for a classic New York snack, you can't go wrong with Pretzels from Sigmunds, available in flavors from classic Salted to unique Truffle Cheddar. Finally, their hot and cold beverages featuring La Colombe coffee are perfect for a quick pick-me-up.
Snack Box is a top-notch destination for anyone looking for a quick and quality American bite in Times Square. It's a place that delivers on its promise of great food in a convenient location, making it a true New York gem.

January 17 · Gregory HicksHotdogs right in the middle of time square so you can’t complain about the price if you want cheaper go elsewhere in the city. You’re paying for the location and seating right in front of time square and as far as these all beef hotdogs I can say the “The Brooklyn Classic” dog tastes like the real New York Hotdog
June 13 · Peter VERPIO . COMI can't say that they're New York's "best" hot dog, but I wouldn't be surprised. It was amazing. Pickles, sauerkraut, mustard and sauce - what more could you want.
March 11 · Evan LeybournIf this is one of the best hot dogs in Times Square, I would hate to see one of the worst. Two employees working with a line of about 6 people and they both kept their backs turned to the customers for almost 5 minutes. I thought they were preparing the order of the couple in front of me until the couple got out of line and walked away. THEY WERE BOTH EATING THEIR LUNCH! Neither one of them even acknowledged the people waiting until they were done. I didn’t get out of line because I had been there for nearly 10 minutes at this point. Ordered a chili cheese dog and a soda once they were finally ready to take an order. My $8 hot dog was barely warm upon taking a bite. Don’t waste your time or money here. This place is gross.
July 08 · Lisa BanksIf you travel to New York city, be sure to eat street food from trucks, they are very delicious. I recommend not to use chain restaurants and try street food instead. Restaurants from most countries are found in the New York city. Do not miss this exceptional opportunity. Also do not miss the 99 cents pizza, you will find it called 99 cents pizza on Google. They have many locations.
