You'll find a mixed crowd of local workers grabbing lunch, families enjoying a dinner, and adventurous tourists seeking a genuine taste of Chinatown. This is a place that reminds you why New York's food scene is so special: it's not about the decor or the frills, but about the passion for creating delicious food that speaks for itself.

Sun Sai Gai is situated at 220 Canal St, New York, NY 10013. Its prime location in the heart of Chinatown makes it a central and easily accessible destination. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Do not under rate this place/restaurant.Must go in and try, food is excellent and well served. Staff are friendly.Roasted pork/Duck with rice and wonton noodle soup is top.Only small issue is that there is only one rest room.
April 13 · HavanaWe get recommendations for the best bun in town so our group waking in the rain to get here. They still keep the name Tan The giới but they don’t sale bun any more,Roast duck, pork chicken … are ok ,We love noodles
June 18 · AsiaNails FairfaxFood wasn't good. Ordered wonton noodle soup 🍜 shrimp fried rice 🍚 🍤 and salt pepper squid 🐙. Will not be going back
June 12 · Reeran KimJust know before you go. Hole in the wall. Real deal Chinese food. They barely speak English but the food is so good. Place is tiny and the server was super nice but he essentially changed our orders to "better" choices (he wasn't wrong). We wanted the lychee duck, the server changed it to regular half duck. We got pork lo mein. The Lo mein had a hint of tanginess. The pork was delicious moist perfectly seasoned, not salty. The noodles are the real deal not overly oily and not overcooked. The star of the show/meal was the duck! Holy moly the duck was out of this world melt in your mouth not gamey at all. The duck was the real deal so watch for small bone fragments.if you need to go to the bathroom this is not the place. This place was recommended by a local who's been in the area for decades so they know.
February 04 · Steph RBest Chinese restaurant I've been too in a long while. We stumbled upon it haphazardly looking for another place to eat that was closed when we showed up.Their roast duck is to die for.Spring rolls vegetable are crispy and not oily at all.You should try their pecking duck rolls are my favorite appetizer there. But what I like the most is the atmosphere. You don't feel rushed, they'll be patient with you and recommend dishes to you, and above all else, they keep that green tea flowing to accompany your meal. We sat there enjoying our meal and never did they make us feel like we were lingering. And the best part? They don't "demand" a certain amount tip likeany other places show in the reviews with servers being pushy about tips. The service and the food are top notch.Definitely one of our stops from now on when visiting NYC.
