★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Been here twice and the food is consistently great. The fish tastes so fresh and high quality. It doesn't taste overly gamey or rubbery. The Salmon Tartare appetizer was my favorite! Love the way it's wrapped in thin avocado slices vs. thick chunks. The Lobster roll is my go to and the size of each piece / meat quantity is excellent. It's a bit pricey, but definitely worth it.The outdoor dining area is nicely decorated with a bit of a vibe (eg Japanese style sliding doors). The vibe inside is even better.
October 24 · Gaurav SharmaGreat omakase. Delicious. Attentive table service. Hot green tea was great as well. Highly recommend. Apologies for not having a pic of the spicy tuna hand roll which was the first service. I ate it before I could snap a pic. I guess I was hungrier than I thought I was 🤣.
September 12 · Eric HudsonReally incredible experience, food tasted so fresh. Had sushi, wow. Also it’s beautiful inside, the decor very old New York sushi restaurant style. Loveee the floor seating (great idea for date nights or special ocasione with friends). Loved that sushi bar was a classic high top, wonderful solo time. Sushi chefs are serious and intentional with their art! Loved my server, extremely grateful for bilingual servers!! Israel was excellent!
October 25 · oriana mayorgaSushi Sen-Nin has been an NYC staple for over 20 years. The fish is always fresh. The service is fantastic. And the vibe inside is very unique and special. All of the rolls are fantastic. The tuna tacos and crispy rice are our favorite appetizers. Can’t go wrong here. There are many sushi restaurants in midtown Manhattan but Sushi Sen-Nin stands out among them all for all the best reasons.
December 16 · Phil P.Because I was staying at the Hilton Garden / Midtown, I walked across the street and saw this place. They have outdoor seating on the street but interior was warm and inviting. They have a large sushi bar and a nice private dining area where you can take off your shoes and dine in privacy, perfect for a work or family occasion. Because I was dining alone I preferred to eat in a table in the back and felt comfortable. The menu was decent but not a traditional Japanese restaurant but I did enjoy the Black Cod Misozaki (fish marinated in miso and lightly grilled, it was very delicate and the chef prepared a beautiful garnish of avocado and ikura / salmon roe.) it wasn’t enough for dinner so I also ordered two pieces of Ikura and Uni (sea urchin) with a glass of Pinot Grigio - I decided not to order miso soup or rice… that costs extra. The total bill was $76. Including tax. Granted that the seafood flew from California, like me… and I wondered why the heck was I ordering sushi when I could get it back in CA! 🥴 Anyway, dinner was fine, the wasabi wasn’t real it was the squirt kind, no edamame was offered, no hot towels for the hands, no orange sherbet or tangerine for dessert, and the sad thing was that it wasn’t plated aesthetically (w/o garnish, at these prices?) I felt the service could have been more hospitable too. Also they locked the doors so I had to be let out because there were three rough looking guys tripping out right next to the door entrance. I guess the manager didn’t care about my personal safety as he quickly locked the door behind me! 🥴 I won’t come again.
