### What is worth choosing
Choosing to visit The Blue Lobster is an opportunity to experience a diverse menu in a lively, casual setting. What is truly worth choosing is the potential for a unique and memorable evening, particularly for those who appreciate live music and a sports-friendly atmosphere. The restaurant's multi-cuisine concept, combining seafood, steak, and Dominican dishes, offers a great solution for groups with varied tastes, eliminating the need to compromise on a single type of cuisine. The "great cocktails" are also a significant draw, making it a viable option for a casual night out focused on drinks and conversation. Additionally, the option to make reservations adds a layer of convenience that is highly valued in a city where spontaneity can often lead to long waits.
However, it is crucial for potential diners to be aware of the full range of experiences, as highlighted by a very negative customer review. This review detailed a "terrible dining experience" marked by "incredibly slow" service despite the restaurant being "nearly empty." The customer also reported issues with food quality, describing their fillet as "charred" and the overall dishes as "bland." Furthermore, significant problems with basic service etiquette were noted, including forgotten orders, a cluttered table, and an uncomfortable encounter with a server. Another review mentioned a rude server who made "a disrespectful statement" to a customer who was "from church." These accounts, while stark, provide important context and show that the reality of the dining experience may not always match the promotional highlights. The fact that the food and service were criticized by multiple customers, despite some positive features like the live music, is a significant point to consider.
Ultimately, what is worth choosing is a place that offers the promise of a lively evening with live music and good drinks, and a menu with a wide variety of options. The restaurant's focus on catering to groups and its ability to take reservations are valuable assets. However, based on customer feedback, it is also important to manage expectations regarding service speed, food quality, and staff professionalism. A visit to The Blue Lobster may be a good choice for someone looking for a casual evening focused more on the atmosphere and drinks than on a perfect meal, and who is willing to take a chance on a potentially inconsistent service experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My recent visit to "The Blue Lobster" was disappointing from start to finish. After being seated, it took about 20 minutes before I had to flag down a server just to place our food order. The restaurant was nearly empty, with only four tables occupied, yet the service was incredibly slow. When the food finally arrived, it was a letdown. The dishes were bland, and my fillet was charred, leaving an unpleasant burnt taste. The utensils provided were inadequate, with butter knives instead of proper steak knives, making it difficult to enjoy the meal.To make matters worse, some of my family’s orders were forgotten, so we ended up eating at different times. Empty plates and cups cluttered our table for most of the meal, as no one came to clear them unless prompted. The service was unprofessional, with servers lacking basic etiquette. A particularly uncomfortable moment occurred when a server inappropriately brushed against me while handling the check. Overall, this was a terrible dining experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
August 17 · Ronny HilarioThe dude in the black and black cross earring was very rude to us and made a disrespectful statement because we were from church! He needs to be fired. Other than that the food was okay.
May 11 · SlackoツThis place is hidden gem for local Dominican and Seafood lovers. This no Casa del Mofongo which I think is over rated but the mofongo was superb. My visit was on a sunday around 2 pm
December 15 · Peter VERPIO . COMThe best restaurant in New York
July 13 · Joselo HernandezFood is bland. Customer service is terrible. Food took too long to get to our table. They can’t even make a drink right. No stars in my opinion
