The dough is celebrated for being "crispy" and flavorful, providing the perfect base for their diverse range of toppings. The "Truffle Shuffle" pizza is particularly popular, with its "insane" flavors that leave a lasting impression. Beyond the pizza, the pasta dishes are equally noteworthy, featuring fresh, house-made ingredients. The "Scampi" and "Summer Corn Agnolotti" are just a couple of the delicious options that showcase the kitchen's skill. The Small Plates and Entrees are also well-regarded, with the "crispy calamari" and "creamy burrata" receiving high praise.
The beverage program is another standout feature. The bar is known for its expertly crafted cocktails made with fresh ingredients. This attention to detail ensures that your drink is the perfect complement to your meal, as one reviewer noted that the cocktails were "on point." ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 15/5 stars 🌟️!!! Frenchman's is a MUST-VISIT in the city! Their dough is TO DIE FOR crispy, and the truffle pizza flavors are insane! 🤯 But what really sets them apart is the service. Coco, the manager, is an absolute sweetheart who made sure we had everything we needed and more. And Felix behind the bar? 🤩 He's a mixology wizard who crafted the perfect cocktails to pair with our pizza and calamari. The whole experience was top-notch, can't wait to go back and get my fix again! 💯 Highly recommend!
August 11 · Yajaira GarayDinner with friends at The Frenchman’s Dough on Wednesday was a hit! 🍽️ Service was warm and attentive, cocktails were on point, and the food… wow. We loved the crispy calamari, creamy burrata, fresh house-made bread, indulgent truffle pizza, and flavorful shrimp scampi — every bite was perfection. Desserts were just okay, and there were quite a few small flies around (not sure why), but it didn’t overshadow the great night with fantastic company! Definitely a spot I’d return to — next time, more pizza, less dessert! 🍕✨
August 08 · Igor LyutinWow.These folks earned every star ✨The SERVICE was consistently phenomenal from the time we walked up to the time we left. There are few times I've had service this good. The food was amazing too.I tried the ever-popular Crispy Calamari appetizer and the Truffle Shuffle pizza.Delicious! 🤤The vibes were calm and welcoming, a warm and relaxing respite from an otherwise busy city. 😌This restaurant is a part of an indoor collection of shops resting by the port. There is a good view of the Brooklyn bridge from the other side of the building. 🌉I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.Bring friends and family because they could use a little more love!
April 20 · Darien SokolovOf all the things we ordered at Frenchman’s Dough, I really loved the spicy sausage pizza and the shrimp scampi. Both were super flavorful and even better with a sprinkle of pepper flakes. The pizza was meaty and had that sweet oniony kick I love, and the pasta had a generous amount of shrimp with fresh noodles (I know they were fresh because I’m basically an adopted Italian, lol just kidding). The atmosphere here is super posh but still relaxed. It feels upscale without being stuffy, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive from start to finish. So why only 4 stars, you ask? They really need to step up their game with the appetizers. On our first visit, we ordered the calamari and it was overcooked and way too salty because of the parmesan. This time, we tried the yellowfin tuna tartare and it tasted overly green and grassy to the point that the freshness of the tuna got lost. It feels like they’re still figuring out how to let the main ingredients shine in their apps, which is a bit of a letdown. Also, the napkins. They were so linty. Everyone at the table ended up with lint on their clothes after putting the napkins on our laps. This seems like a small thing, but it’s the kind of detail that really sticks out. They need to change their napkins or at least fix whatever is causing that issue. All that said, I’d still come back for the mains. The pizza and pasta are more than worth it.
July 13 · Bong ArquizaI had the pleasure of dining at Frenchman’s Dough inside the Tin Building this week, and I can’t stop thinking about how delicious everything was! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The open kitchen vibe added to the charm, making it feel like an immersive dining experience. The food was absolutely amazing. The calamari is hands down the best I’ve had in NYC, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. It was light and flavorful, without being greasy at all. If you’re a fan of seafood, this dish alone is worth the visit! But the real standout for me was the Truffle Shuffle pizza. The combination of rich truffle flavor with a perfectly crispy crust made each bite feel indulgent and satisfying. The flavors were balanced so well, and the toppings were fresh and high-quality, making it one of the most memorable pizzas I’ve had in a while.I’ve been to the Tin Building multiple times, but this visit to Frenchman’s Dough really stood out. Whether you’re popping in for a casual meal or enjoying a special evening out, this place has it all: delicious food, great atmosphere, and exceptional service. Highly recommend it to anyone in the area or looking for a great dining experience in the Seaport!
