Was visiting Columbia for a match and found this place nearby. I didnt know at first that it was famous but wanted a nice diner type meal. It was refreshing to be in a diner with a lot of great brunch options for a reasonable price. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a roll and it was delicious for only around $6. The service was fast, even in peak brunch hours. I would definitely come back!

We had the eggs Benedict and it was pretty good. The corned beef omelette however was a little dry. Ambience is typical diner style with a bar and stools. Popular dining place for the Columbia students.

It's the place from Seinfeld. Just the exterior, not the interior shots. We had apple pie and cheesecake for a dessert. It was fun to stop by and see the place. They had some seinfeld posters and photos on the walls. There is a "Jerry's Salad" on the menu, aka The Big Salad.

This place is super iconic because of Seinfeld, but the inside isn’t really what you’d expect — it’s different, but still feels authentic and really cool. It’s got a chill, college vibe, probably because it’s so close to Columbia University. The food was good, the service was nice, and overall it was just a really fun spot to check out.

Was in NYC near Columbia University and was looking for a quick bite. Being a Seinfeld fan the restaurant caught my eye. I initially kept walking but something said to go in and check it out for the experience. Inside the restaurant it's got ~14-15 booths and counter seating (It's not laid out like on the TV show). I sat at the bar flipped through the menu and it was mostly diner food. They have Gyros also but I opted for the California Burger (lettuce, tomato and avocado) + fries and a coffee milkshake. My customer service experience was delivered in a gruff NYC style. He plopped the menu down in front of me. He came back 5 minutes later… “You know what you want”. I still needed a minute…he walked away. I signaled I was ready, gave him my order, he said “ok”, then placed the order over the microphone (which reminded me of the old “Olympia Restaurant” skit on SNL). This is the typical “lets keep it moving” type of service that I grew up with in NYC.The burger and fries were nothing to write home about. The shake was the best part. The coolest part was seeing all the Seinfeld memorabilia. Would I come back again….likely not. I would only recommend this spot if you are a Seinfeld fan or you were in the area and wanted diner food.
