Tradisyon offers a wide array of dishes, but some stand out as must-try items. The Sisig, a sizzling plate of crispy pork hash topped with a poached egg, is a fan favorite and a great introduction to the rich and flavorful world of Filipino pulutan (appetizers). Another highly recommended dish is the Kare Kare, a hearty braised beef short rib stew with vegetables in a savory peanut sauce. For those seeking a tangy and comforting soup, the Sinigang na Baka is an excellent choice, known for its distinct sour broth.
Don't overlook the classic adobo dishes, which are a cornerstone of Filipino cuisine. The Pork Adobo and Chicken Adobo are both braised to perfection in a soy and vinegar sauce with bay leaves, creating a rich and savory flavor. For a crispy, indulgent meal, the Lechon Kawali, a deep-fried pork belly dish, is a fantastic option.
If you're dining with a group, the Tradisyon Dinner or one of the Party Trays is a great value, offering a feast of different Filipino dishes. And no Filipino meal is complete without dessert. Be sure to try the Halo Halo, a colorful and refreshing shaved ice dessert with various sweet toppings like beans, jellies, and ube ice cream. The Singaporean Laksa, while not traditionally Filipino, has received praise for its great broth and balanced flavor, proving that Tradisyon's chefs are skilled in a variety of Asian cuisines.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Singaporean Laksa - great broth, the spice definitely had my nose watering but I could still enjoy the coconut flavor and finish the soup. The protein is pretty standard and not especially seasoned, but I am not expecting anything too fancy from a comfort food dish. Good portion just enough for a filling dinner
August 11 · Midori YangFilipino food stall that has the famous Filipino dishes. Not a traditional or super authentic restaurant though, it has some fusion that caters to the western palate. Otherwise, great choice if you're just trying to scratch that filipino food craving.
August 10 · Eljin AguilaWe're here visiting NY!! And wanted to try out some Filipino food, we found Tradisyon, I thought it was a restaurant, but it's inside the food court at 135 W 50th St. We ordered the pork belly and the fried Tilapia both on rice. Shout out to Patrick who cooked the tilapia so well!! Comfort at it's best.
August 12 · Lorenely EsguerraReviewing as a Filipino visiting New York City. This restaurant is recommended for takeout. For food, the sisig was tasty. For service, the ordering process could be improved. Based on the restaurant layout, diners may need to guess if ordering is at the counter or at the table. Also, the level of attention per table is on the lower end for a table service type restaurant. Finally, I hope the hospitality can reach the same level as in Manila. For atmosphere, the introduction of Filipino ornaments, lighting fixtures and photography was appreciated. However, and this may be a New York City thing, a restaurant with table service generally has an in-restaurant bathroom. To our surprise, the bathroom was at another restaurant (which does not have table service).
February 01 · GabeCame for dinner at the restaurant(not Hawker), March 27, 2024, was truly delicious and impressive. Possibly? got food poisoning from the Sisig? Still recommend and would come back.----------The chicken Inasal was fantastic and something special, I thought the Sisig was good with balancing various flavors and overall delicious.I could not wait to devour the food with each bite, I was actually very excited to try filipino food and it was delightfully tasty! My filipino friends I talked to earlier recommended the two dishes. At 7 AM I was given a delightful surprise, I'll spare you the details. I haven't had food poisoning in years and as a foodie that is all I could hope for. The day after was miserable.I suspect it was the Sisig because I had all the same foods my friend did over the last two days except this dish, we share a similar tolerance and constitution yet this after dinner they were fine. Still, maybe it was something I ate before. I had some Japanese food and the quality was questionable. The service is okay, they weren't very good with questions or giving details and didn't seem to be really listening. This led to all my questions becoming orders.Overall, the Sisig seems like a gamble, the flavors and food were good but maybe avoid anything with runny eggs or pork. It might be fine, will be tasty at the very least.
